It's been a happy spectacle watching our friends at Lobster Theremin grow into the pink-bellied beast we see before us today. Their following has grown almost as quickly as their roster, snowballing via a release schedule that's as strong as it is frequent: a consistently welcome serve-up of Motor City-inspired house, dreamscape acid and narcotic techno. 

Late last year, Camp Lobster drilled deeper into the spectrum with Mörk, the label's darkling sub-imprint and home to its gloomiest techno. This week they inaugurate a new imprint, Distant Hawaii – a summer off-shoot for beach-coasting sunshine house. And its first release is exactly that: a wonderfully deep debut for Manchester man Hidden Spheres. 'Waiting' is our pick of the litter: a glowing thumper that's all butter-melt Rhodes lines, ecstatic vocal whoops, and tons of playful percussion. The perfect summer jam, basically – coming to a terrace near you very soon.

Wolf Music, the seasoned house music appreciators, are back on the gas pedal again. With Ishmael and Black Fan showing face on April's white label and Frits Wentink's Rarely Pure, Never Simple album a month before, they prep their next course. Wolf grad, Medlar, makes a colourful return to the fore with WOLFEP030 — a first project since his debut album, Sleep.

Flakes of jazz are kneaded in at different points throughout; a dribble of sax here, piano runs galore elsewhere ("Dawn Chorus"). Yet it's "Paradise" and it's alluringly cyclical drive that makes it first pick. A truly harmonious affair: yearning string solos, trundling conga/bongos underfoot and even birdsong at the tail end. The video is just as blissful in all its black and white, zoological glory.

Just as Mother Nature would have wanted it. Out on 5th October 2015.

Atmospheric Vol 2 is the second single to be taken from Deepchord’s latest full length but sees him stray from the album tracks, bringing 3 exclusive pieces to the vinyl, keeping in the same musical vein as Ultraviolet Music. 

Exploring the North & Pinewood Lodge see Rod Modell on more Deep Techno excursions as beautifully sweeping pads and glistening synths drift by ever evolving, perfectly processed atmospheres. Deepchord’s unique use of subtle field recordings throughout give both of these tracks a real heady/druggy quality and his seamless loops allow you to drift of into his fully developed dream world. Shot Point delves into straight up ambient territory with Deepchord striking an unearthly balance between the natural and synthetic world. Yet more flawlessly collected field recordings wash away on an ocean of reverb soaked pads, drowning the listener within its mesmerising tides.
