After 5 years as a raver, Axis decided to turn his hand to mixing in late 2017. After a few lessons from close friends Dvise & Rivers, he has worked tirelessly to cement his place as one of Perth’s most versatile drum & bass DJs. With a high level of technical mixing proficiency across all sub-genres and a fast-paced, high energy mixing style sure to get dancefloors moving, Axis has supported names such as Matrix & Futurebound, Current Value, Pola & Bryson, 1991 and more.

With 20 years under his belt as a DJ, Dvise is no stranger to the Perth Dnb scene. Dvise has played countless gigs and festivals, supporting huge names such as Andy C, Metrik, State of Mind, The Upbeats, DJ Fresh, The Prototypes, Brookes Brothers, Kenny Ken, Matrix & Futurebound and many more. ProtoCode Presents: The Gathering - AXIS & DVISE Promo Mix

For the second of today's three promo mixes for The Gathering we have Lala⭐️✨

lala is a Perth based DJ and made her way into the music scene late 2017. Originally a classical musician, she got swept into the DJ scene while at university. Heavily influenced by all things bass and house music, her favourite genres include DnB, UKG and breaks. Some of her musical influences include Rezz and Flava D. 

lala has played a variety of gigs including: EMAS Miami and Ibiza, Death Disco, Amplifier-Capitol, The Court, The Peach Pit Bar, Scarborough Beach Bar, Snatch, HUGOs Club, Print Hall, Banana Social, Sanction and Seasons. 

In 2019, lala won the origin DJ comp and opened the event on new year’s day. In 2018, lala also progressed into the 3rd heat of the Geisha DJ competition and has recently played on local radio station, RTRfm Rhythm Trippin’. lala currently holds residency with HUGOs in Fremantle as well as with residenz dnb. 

lala hopes to continue pursuing playing her favourite genres every weekend and keep growing in the bass scene over the coming years.
