German DJ and producer Paul Kold blends a distinctive vocal with his slick and sensual production to construct this deep and moody track ‘Don’t Want You’, dropping to bring the head this Spring on Smash Deep.

Paul Kold has made a name for himself through his mashups and ability to remix commercial music with bursting drops that flow into bass heavy flavours. His remix of Alex Christensen’s take on ‘Rhythm Is a Dancer’ boasts 2.5 million Spotify streams and showcases his ability to transform even the most classic of tracks, bringing a fresh feel with his future rave sounds. Now, ‘Don’t Wan’t You’ is the latest original production to wow fans and peers alike!

‘Don’t Want You’ explores a deeper and more serene sound for Paul Kold, creating a stark contrast with his 2021 Smash Deep ‘Tequila’, an eccentric jazz infused release. The unique vocal from ALXZ speaks of heartbreak and creates an ethereal dreamy quality to the track, supported by soaring synths, whilst the house-inspired production packs a punch with a thumping, yet minimalist bass and sharp synth lines. Whilst Paul Kold has previously delivered raucous bass heavy drops, this track showcases his range as a producer and his ability to create an atmospheric slow burner with an infectious groove.
