You were absolutely the best boy anyone could have asked for. 
My heart just lost a huge chunk with four tiny paws, and coffee and milk colored fur; with floppy ears and eyes as big as his heart.

I remember when we first met, we created a bond that was inseparable, as you jumped into my lap.
Remember how you tore up the bed frame and carpet at the old apartment? How bitters didn't do anything because you liked it?
When you could go down the stairs, but I had to carry you up?
When you had your hernia surgery, I was at work and worried so I asked my friends to check on you.
When we were both abandoned together, all we had was each other, but we were the best team.

You taught me a responsibility that wasn't a chore. Thank you for being such a good boy. You taught me what it was to have a true companion in life. No other loss could hit me so utterly deep.

Anyone who has ever met you knows how smart you were, how gentle you were, how good you were. Even though a lot of them confused you as a girl, you were always the best boy, and your daddy couldn't be more proud of you...not one bit.

Who's gonna greet me when I come home? Who's going to wake me up with licks and scratching the door? Who's going to rub their tiny, soft face on me? 
Who's going to not make me feel alone in the house? It's only been 17 hours and 16 minutes... and the house has an inexplicable silence that reaches my soul...I'm going to miss you so much.

You know how every time I would leave, I'd kiss you and tell you to be a good boy? It's your turn to go, okay? Keep heaven happy 'til I get there and see you again. Be a good boy. (I know you will)

God really outdid himself with you. You'll always be my good boy. Your daddy loves you so soo soooo much. I'll never forget you.

This is a compilation of songs that either remind me of him, songs that I believe he would want to sing to me, or simply songs to help me grieve my loss. Some people might say I'm blowing it out of proportion or that I'm being overdramatic. But truth is, he was all I had. Through thick and thin, through betrayal and isolation, Einstein was there for me. He got me through days where I didn't want to get through. I knew I needed to get up and take care of him, because he needed me, and I needed him. We were the perfect duo.

He was my purpose, my world. He was mine.
He was my Einstein.
