ICONYC bring us the 20-year anniversary reissue of 'London' from label boss John Johnson. The seminal track was released in 2001 on the famed English Ministry of Sound imprint 'IDJ 'and gained huge popularity after receiving heavy play from both Sasha and John Digweed. It continued the wave of success for the New York based producer and remains a standout piece on his meticulous discography. Regarded as one of the defining tracks in the progressive house golden era it's irresistible hooks have stood the test of time remarkably well. For the first remix edition and to celebrate 20 years since its original release, ICONYC have called upon Hernan Cattaneo & Marcelo Vasami, GuyRo and Giana Brotherz to update the track.

The first interpretation of 'London' is provided by Hernan Cattaneo & Marcelo Vasami who are both making his first appearance on ICONYC. The Argentinean born producers really do not need any introduction. Hernan who has been the benchmark and stand out reference for the progressive genre for many a year. For the rework of London, Hernan teamed up with fellow Argentinean Marcelo Vasami who himself can look back on a significant discography. The duo delivers a compelling interpretation of 'London'. Low slung bass stabs, vibrant percussion and spacey electronics, all wrapped together with the distinctive rhythms from the original make for a deep and engaging first act. Suave synths and distinct drum fills further the tracks sonic scope before it begins to strip down into the main break. The suspense filled interlude is fueled with those unmistakable rhythms before a series of beats lets the synth loose once more for the ultimate finale. A lovely interpretation from Hernan & Marcelo.

The second interpretation of 'London' is provided by GuyRo. The Spanish based Irish producer has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success in recent times. As one of his country's most talented music producers he has proven his skill in professional sound design and contemporary electronic music. His unique fusion of techno beats and progressive minded sensibilities continues to be one of the underground's freshest sounds. Beginning with a fluid yet bouncy revamp of the groove the Irish producers' distinctive sonic hallmarks begin to work their way into the mix. Momentous rhythms along with complementary tones and a beautiful guitar lifts the vibe higher as the track reaches the main break. The interlude showcases a storyboard of rising modulation and atmospheric pressures which build to a tasteful apex before the unmistakable groove returns for a great moment. A classy remix from GuyRo which will stand the test of time.


Berlin based DnB sensation Giana Brotherz closes out the release in style with his outstanding rendition on 'London'. In recent years Giana Brotherz has been famed for his revisions and he's worked that magic once again for a compelling interpretation of 'London'. On a foundation of freeform bass swells comes arpeggiated clusters and processed string assembles. Warm and rushy at points yet delicate and impassioned at others, the first act proves to be the prefect prelude to a dramatic break. The wonk factor on the low end is quite high and monumentally groovy as well, nicely playing off the rolling rhythmic qualities as dulcet hooks and gentle harmonics drift in and out of the framework. As the liquid beats decay a striking tonal theme rises, peaking with a wave of noise and tepid rush of beats and swollen bass. A striking creation from Giana Brotherz, who delivers a cutting-edge interpretation to round out part 1 of the London remixes on a strong note. Don't miss them!

For our 50th edition and almost a year since the inception of this mix series we are ecstatic to have one of the undisputed legends of the house and techno scene to celebrate this milestone: @djnickwarren.

You can tell when Nick Warren is on the decks. The music emanating from the DJ booth is that perfect club mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality, bursting out of the speakers, soaking everyone in melody, drenching them in sound.

To this day, Warren remains at the forefront of club culture: he packs clubs and arenas worldwide from London to Buenos Aires to Burning Man, transfixing dancefloors with his distinctively forward blend of credible progressive sounds, deeper tunes, atmospheric layers and any other grooves Warren deems appropriate for his turntable.

Nick Warren became one of the first so-called "superstar DJs" in the mid-to-late '90s, holding down a high-profile residency at Cream in England, touring around the world, and appearing on several DJ mix albums before they became commonplace. Though he spun an eclectic array of dance styles in the late '80s and early '90s, he eventually championed the late-'90s trance sound of labels like Hooj Choons and joined the ranks of other superstar DJs like Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, and Tall Paul.

Warren moved to Bristol in the 1980s after having just turned 20. By the early '90s, he was one of the city's top DJs, spinning upstairs at Vision, one of the city's first super-clubs. At the time, Warren spun everything from dub and hip-hop to house, which became his preferred style.

When fellow Bristol artists Massive Attack left to tour America in the wake of their early success, they invited Warren to accompany them on tour as their official DJ, a testament to his turntable skills as well as his reputation at the time. Eventually, Warren began a massively successful stint as the resident DJ at Cream in Liverpool.

The years that followed saw Nick Warren enjoy a whirlwind of success. Through a combination of providing acclaimed mixes for Mixmag, DMC, and the hugely successful Global Underground series, and releasing a string of club-smashing solo singles, Warren found himself catapulted into the electronic and house big leagues; and, by continuing to release acclaimed albums, singles, and remixes with his Way Out West partner-in-crime, Jody Wisternoff, and remixing tracks for the likes of Lana Del Rey, he firmly established himself as a truly multi-faceted producer of top-quality dance music.

Having already graced the decks at every self-respecting super-club on the planet and made his name as a superstar DJ, the late Noughties saw Warren turn his hand to the business side of the music industry. Now, as the A&R of Bristol-based Hope Recordings, he spends his time seeking to hone and promote the next generation of club-smashing DJ and production talent; and, through the expansion of his label The Soundgarden into a globe-straddling international events and entertainment brand, set in stone his already firmly-established reputation as a giant of electronic, techno, and house music.

Next up in our moments series we are very proud to share an amazing recent LIVE set from our label bosses GMJ & Matter at the Morning After presents: Enchanted Garden Homegrown Edition from April 2021! 

This set saw the boys premiering a number of new tunes alongside many live effects & synths in the moment! 

We hope you enjoy these moments!!


Melbourne’s GMJ (Gavin Martin) and Matter (Matty Doyle) joined forces in late 2015, a triggered recognition and magnetism for their shared perspectives and love for deep atmospheric music leading to the formation of the GMJ & Matter collaboration.
Already drawn by a respect for each others unique sound, their first meeting soon saw them in the studio crafting the acclaimed “Superposition” EP for Proton music, which was debuted at Rainbow Serpent Festival 2016 and released afterwards to big success, supported by industry heavyweights including Hernan Cattaneo and Cid Inc. This was followed by the “Osmosis / 11 moons” EP in 2017, and the “Interscope / To the Stars” EP in 2018 which further highlighted the pair's distinct and accomplished sound.
A natural synergy and seamless understanding has seen works constantly flow, with remixes for Pete K, Andre Sobota, Juan Deminicis, Nopi, Donny Carr, DJ San & Rudy UK, as well as fellow Aussies Funkform, Pantheon and David Leckenby. 2019 raised the bar higher as the duo joined forces with Funkform for a highly anticipated debut EP for the esteemed Balance Music.
Studio success translated into demand from a constantly growing number of respected festivals and clubs both locally and abroad. A debut performance at Dragon Dreaming Festival 2017 was followed soon after with support gigs for Nick Warren and Dezza, leading towards a fully live performance for Wildwood events, then on to their debut European tour in late 2019, with gigs for Progressive Astronaut in London and Replug Records 10 year anniversary at ADE in Amsterdam.
2020 has seen the conception and constant growth of the pairs “Meanwhile Recordings” imprint, which has opened to high regard throughout the industry, both as a platform for their own signature sounds, and as a home to some of the world’s finest. With many amazing artists and releases on the horizon, Meanwhile is already on the way to establishing itself as a premier force in the world of global deep progressive house.
With constant inspiration raising the heights in reflection, the future is to the stars!

Born in Antwerp in 1982, Eran soon discovered his sense of rhythm and passion for sound. One sweet day, the cherished dream of creating his own music and becoming a DJ came true. Inspired by the vibes of past and contemporary electronic music, he started mixing emotive melodies with a contemporary beat. Urged by a strong desire to develop his own DJ style, he soon discovered his path into the kingdom of sound. 

Eran's remarkable musical taste has been astonishing countless party people across the dance floors across the globe. His sophisticated blend of melodically driven electronic music manages to surprise the crowd every time. The tracks he harmonically and seamlessly mixes tell an intriguing story. Having singed his records to labels such as Sudbeat and Plattenbank has made him a vast feature in today’s world of electronic music.  His musical intuition, great mixing skills and openness for innovative influences make every party worthy of its definition. By consciously adapting his music to the audience and carefully building up the tempo, he succeeds to turn every party into one that will definitely be remembered. Having found something that was missing in Antwerps nightlife he founded, together with his partner, a new concept called EDGE in 2014 which has already booked some of the biggest names in the industry such as John Digweed, Sasha, Lee Burridge, Adriatique, Stephan Bodzin, Hernan Cattaneo b2b Guy J just to mention a few. EDGE was founded to bring party people, Dj’s and musical influences from different cultures and styles together. Since its initial conception in Antwerp EDGE expanded its horizons and has held editions in Tel Aviv and Amsterdam.  In 2017 EDGE expanded its brand by launching a record label which aims to curate some of the best electronic music around.  

Key and chord compatibility have no secrets for Eran - once he puts on his headphones, his atmospheric music takes you into a journey you don’t want to end.

On the March show of 2021 we have the amazing GMJ & Matter on Guest Mix duties as we celebrate 2 years of the show. The lads really caught our eye a number of years ago and they're now apart of our roster and agency as we work very closely with both artists looking after their Domestic and International bookings. Both lads are now great friends and we expect another huge year from both artists. The lads ahve put a stunning mix together for us, keeping the momentum flowing for 2021.
