Dark Matter is the stage name of two Israeli brothers from Tel Aviv, Chen and Dor, whose career as producers began in 2019. Having transited through some other styles at the beginning of those productions, they have finally anchored their sound in Melodic Techno.
Their debut release for Awen Records is the EP called Perception. The title track is based on a hypnotic rhythmic pattern to which different melodic pads are added in a journey with different sonic heights. A remix by Cypriot duo Paul Angelo and Don Argento completely tweaks the rhythmic base without losing any of the original spirit.
Out of Bounds is built from an epic and dark intro that is reinforced well into the track with Tom Shwartz's vocal contribution and some haunting piano notes, resulting in a track full of dark matter energy. To complete the EP comes Aurora, an emotional outpouring full of suggestive melody and constant rhythmic cadence to close the release with a beautiful flavour.

MANTi brings Twisted Sensation, a melodic stronghold giving us a glimpse of more to come from this one.

Galø takes us to Atlantis with a dark groover with Pursuit written all over it.

Eclept and Josanu close this one off with Astalavista: echoing pianos and toms bring us Mediterranean vibes ready for those late summer nights.

All in all, all artists are surely ones that you should keep an eye on.
