An artist with sizeable success across his South American home, Juan Deminicis has been at the vanguard of the underground dance scene for a decade. Proton Music is therefore delighted to welcome him back with "Life on the Moon".

Hailing from the bustling, cosmopolitan Buenos Aries capital, Deminicis sought inspiration from a host of leading names including Nick Warren, James Zabiela and fellow countryman, Hernan Cattaneo. Quickly finding his feet in the clubs of his hometown and across the country, the Argentinean became an established figure with performances at Bahrein, Fruta and Club Nina.

In tandem, a production career has been no less impressive. Over 270 release credits can thus be found against the Juan Deminicis name for a plethora of high-calibre imprints including Click, Lost and Found and Sudbeat. Indeed, the "Babel" EP was a notable highlight for the Cattaneo led imprint in early 2016 as was August 2018's "Umbra" for Dutch label, Click Records.

Supported across the clubs of the world by leading lights that include Guy J, Nick Warren and John Digweed, Deminicis has been a regular on Proton Music with a 2012 debut alongside Pablo Acenso coming in the shape of "Downshifting"; the stunning "Behind the Sun" EP coming a year later. Remixed by Guy Mantzur, Khen and James Monro has kept Juan Deminicis at the cutting edge of underground dance. Returning in March 2018 to remix GMJ's "Push Through", we are privileged to welcome Juan Deminicis back to the label.

The title track is a beautifully crafted affair that evolves effortlessly over its near eight-minute voyage. Strong beat and cavernous bassline, coupled with offbeat shaker pattern, create an epic bouncing groove that lays the perfect foundation for a swathe of analogue melodies to shimmer and sparkle in freeform patterns. Full of dancefloor credentials, delay and reverb create a spacious effect that truly gives rise to "Life on the Moon".

Partner track, "Tao the King" immediately makes its mark with huge bouncing bassline and techno rhythm. Redolent in white-noise effects, a sublime motif filters into sonic range as an analogue lead fills the airwaves with crystal clarity and an updated retro vibe creates a series of textured layers that resonate with Vangelis and a rich sci-fi scoundscape. Hitting its stride in the third movement with detuned arpeggio, the resultant track is a modern sonic masterpiece.

With two new tracks forming a new musical landscape, Juan Deminicis can be rightfully proud of "Life on the Moon".

Tale Of Us present a new collaboration with Vaal for the sixth release on their Afterlife label. Three years after they teamed up for ‘Concur’ and began to tour together, the trio return with their most anthemic offering yet. Vaal’s hauntingly-beautiful and instantly-recognisable vocals are the centre-piece on ‘Monument’, building on the style of her Wander To Hell EP (AL002). The drums and shimmering synth lines are moody and uplifting in the way Tale Of Us have made their own, arranged perfectly for the psychedelic breakthrough.

On the flip side, ‘The Hangar’ takes a different approach to equally devastating effect. It pumps with added urgency and a thunderous, steely bassline lunges out from the low-end. Designed for large soundsystems and big rooms, ‘The Hangar’ finds Tale Of Us and Vaal at their most direct and it’s something to behold.

Barnt and Stephan Bodzin, two artists whose stand-out performances at recent Afterlife events have made them firm favourites with the crowds, are tapped for the remixes (AL007). They both take on ‘Monument’, Barnt opting for a rolling, percussive direction and Bodzin more ethereal and transportive.

This is the story of a guy who has been releasing one quality progressive house release after another for a couple of years now already, but strangely enough has never released on Manual Music's main progressive house imprint. This story is about to end, because we're proud to welcome Roberto Traista on board.. finally!

The Romanian born has built up quite a diverse discography over the course of his production career with appearances on Agara Music, Sixtysevensuns, System Records, BC2, ADRO Records, Clinique Recordings and Opendecks Records all standing out. 

Roberto’s productions have always been quite intriguing. From his unique design which conjures up images of futuristic wastelands to strong groove components that always keep things focused on the dance floor. As with most Roberto Traista productions the framework is tough and filled with punch. There is always a definite sense of hope coming from his works within the melody and it drives his productions to a classy conclusion. 

Here on his brand new 'Last Night EP' he drops two brand new tracks in his trademark sound, complemented with a warm timeless dreamy remix by Yuriy From Russia and a more punchy minimalistic effort by Jaramillo.

"I have discovered Ariel Pink's music at the end of last year and from first listen it took my attention so much, that I start to listen to all his albums several times and find some really interesting songs and parts which could be sampled and made into a dancefloor version. I have picked Round and Round, because of the nostalgic and calm vibe. Sampling the main loop of the whole track, filling it up with Ariel's phrases, then expanding it into a hippie kind of breakdown. I have picked my synths for this one very carefully, just wanted some underskin tones and here and there some atmospheric fillers as I didn't wanted to ruin the main vibe. Hope you enjoy this one!"

Almost one year in the making, Bulgaria’s outstanding techno talent lands his return to Drumcode with a four-track EP. 

Timmo (aka Valeri Ivanov) doesn’t do things in half measures. Since the release of his excellent ‘System’ EP last year and ‘Muzik’, his inclusion on A-Sides Vol.6, he’s committed himself to crafting, refining and polishing a quartet of cuts inspired by the cosmic realms beyond planet earth. Titled ‘Meteorite’, its release marks 10 years since he first began producing and stakes its claim as a resounding career highlight with tracks already highlighting gigs for Adam Beyer at Tobacco Dock, Awakenings, Future Kappa Festival and Junction 2.

Beginning with the title track, the streamlined work throbs with a searing synthetic pulse. ‘Black Moon’ sees the EP land its first blow, kicking with a mixture of undulating synths and understated hoovers. ‘Spacetime’ stays true to its name delivering intergalactic techno vibes. ‘Cosmos’ concludes the work, taking us into extra-terrestrial dancefloor territory, with a barrage of trippy synth work and a melodic underbelly the makes the track both beautiful and heavy-hitting in equal measure.

An artist with a rapidly growing reputation, Rudy UK crafted a three-track EP of supreme quality when he released "Time/Spirit" in February 2018. Now we return to the EP with remixes from Australian and Italian talents.

Able to look back upon production careers that many could only dream of recreating, Australian DJs and producers, Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle have created solid steel reputations with their GMJ and Matter pseudonyms. Each highly successful artists in their own rights, they have performed across the clubs and festivals of their homeland with highlights including the Rainbow Serpent Festival in Lexton, Victoria. A plethora of production credits can be found against their names for the likes of Anjunadeep, Mango Alley and Open Records while work for Proton Music has seen a host of individual credits including a trio of original EPs in the shape of October 2016's "Superposition", June 2017's "Osmosis" and, most recently August 2018's "Interscope". Seeing their own music remixed by high-profile names including Oliver Lieb, Juan Deminicis and Magitman, GMJ and Matter's own remixes of Andre Sobota and Pete K are now followed by a typically majestic remix of "Time". Full of the lush sonic soundscapes that have become central to the pair's work, a strong beat and head-shaking percussive groove are allied to a rich bassline that plays tribute to Rudy UK's original while a chorus of strings create a new variation on the central melodic theme. New vocal layers add texture and substance to a track of rare beauty.

Italian born but now firmly ensconced in his adopted Argentinean home, Andrea Cassino has been a watchword for quality in the underground dance industry. Early triumphs saw Cassino feature in collaborative work with Alex Laben before launching out on his own to considerable solo success. Hitting upon a winning formula with a "more techno and dark progressive" palette, Andrea Cassino has found his music featuring on a host of heavyweight imprints that include Balkan Connection, Soundteller and Lowbit. A regular on Particles and Proton Music, his twin-track "Divine" EP in May 2017 was a notable highlight before remixes of Michael A and GMJ in September 2017 and March 2018. Now returning to the label, the Andrea Cassino remix of "Time" is a wonderfully luscious offering that blends rippling bassline with immaculately placed melodic phrasing and haunting vocal textures. Building effortlessly through textured pads and driving rhythm, an intelligent reimagining of Rudy's remix components creates a new melodic structure rooted firmly in the original. Hitting its stride post-breakdown, a dark and brooding track comes to life with a wonderful change in key that elevates Cassino's remix to another level.

Crafting new interpretations of Rudy UK's music, GMJ and Matter and Andrea Cassino have created new sonic masterpieces that are sure to stand the test of "Time".
