Finding form with their high-calibre original music, "Everything You Feel" was a welcome return for Lanvary in October 2019. Now the EP sees remixes from US and UK artists.

With an impressive production portfolio to their name, UK/US hybrid, We Are All Astronauts continue to operate at the vanguard of creative dance music. Full of emotion, scope and power their original and remix material continues to wow audiences with "a genreless musical landscape" for a raft of high-profile labels that include Silk Music, Klangwelt and Mango Alley. Moreover, Dave Ridley has been responsible for hosting the monthly Alleys show for the latter for some five years on Frisky Radio with a distinctive blend of classy melodic cuts.

A trio of remixes for Particles has seen reworkings of Sed Project and Andre Sobota in 2017 and 2019, while a remix of "Slingshot Ride" on Particles in October 2016 now sees We Are All Astronauts return to remix the Moldovan duo on Proton Music. Their reinterpretation of the title track is thus a gloriously emotive reworking of the title track that pulsates gloriously against heavy beat and sparkling hi-hat percussion. Building in hypnotic fashion throughout, the remix resonates with tropes from the "Everything You Feel" original while glorious 303-tinged phrasing waxes and wanes in juxtaposition with sumptuously textured pads and spine-tingling bassline progression. The result is a track that captures the very essence of the original while taking it on what Ridley calls a driving "conveyor belt of sound".

A relative newcomer to the world of underground dance, Imran Khan has quickly made a name for himself with his unique sound, studious approach and dedication to his craft. Already reaching the upper echelons of the industry, his early original work for Clinique Recordings paved the way for over a century of production credits to find their way on to such luminary imprints as Balkan Connection, MNL and Stellar Fountain.

Work on Particles has been centred around August 2018's "Arrival" EP, while August 2019's "Organik" and November's "Sunsweat" on Proton Music saw a host of original tracks and a quartet of blue-chip remixes from Silinder, Barry Jamieson, MUUI and LADS. Now starting 2020 with a wonderfully sculpted reworking of "Late Bloom", the Imran Khan remix is a smooth and immaculate offering that ripples hypnotically through central arpeggio and breathy pads. Smoothly progressing throughout a rich ten-minute timeframe and harnessing the themes of the original, a heavy kick and light, ticking percussive top line keep the energy high in a work that demonstrates Khan's continued rise.

A touch of brilliance from We Are All Astronauts and Imran Khan sees Lanvary connect with aural senses through "Everything You Feel".

When Proton Music's friends at Dear Deer contacted us about an exciting new project, collaboration between Anton Ishutin and Leusin provided a high quality "Presence", further extended by remixes from the talented artist roster from both stables.

Anton Ishutin has risen rapidly in deep house and indie dance circles. A polished sound has seen work feature heavily on the Dear Deer imprint since 2013's pairing with Anturage produced the "Drunk Girl" EP. Since then, a clutch of other releases and remixes have surfaced while further work for Pepper Cat, Four Peas and Nuevadeep have cemented a reputation built upon support from the likes of M.A.N.D.Y., Kolombo and Dinka. Joining forces, on this occasion, with the vocal talents of Leusin, "Presence" is a sublime journey through striking percussive beats and haunting vocals that carry a blend of textured pads, emotive melodies and strong bass line to mesmerising effect. With an effortless use of space, "Presence" and its accompanying dub are works of class.

Tim Embliss needs no introduction to the Proton Music faithful. A connoisseur of the electronic music scene since 2007's debut and an important figure in the progressive breaks sound so prevalent in the mid 2000s, Embliss' sound has matured and evolved in recent years to become extremely well respected and supported by labels and peers alike. Armada, Anjunadeep and Silk Royal have all played host to Embliss' considerable talents as his work has seen support form Jaytech, Matt Darey and fellow countryman, Eelke Kleijn. A regular on Proton Music since 2008, it was 2013's "Stronghold" EP that marked a watershed moment in Embliss' recent production career with a shift to a deeper, much sought after sound. Extending his skill set into the deep house arena, the Embliss remixes of "Presence" demonstrate an individual with passion and talent as a huge bass line provides a strong anchor for subtle percussive hats and striking reverb-soaked lead to play off the vocal arrangement of the original. A sure and classy touch from Embliss has provided "Presence" with a gold standard rework.

Russian star, Andrea Kinly has formerly shone behind the scenes with AandR for Tvardovsky owned, Stereo Paradise. Currently head of Maywin, Kinly's own incipient production career began with 2013's "Internal Confusion" EP with AudioAndrew for Deadfunk Music. Going on to represent Funkpony and Stop!Waiting, Kinly now follows up a further collaboration with AudioAndrew for 2014's "Dear Deer Friends, Vol. 2" compilation as "Dreams" were realised. Taking on "Presence", the Kinly remix retains Leusin's haunting vocals and the enveloping sounds of the original, backed by a muted kick drum that expands to include metronomic house beats as the track evolves. Additional production material forces its way to the fore in incongruous juxtaposition as arpeggio and harmonica effect provide a powerful edge. The stripped back dub version then makes its play with a series of textures and effects in organic fashion.

Six tracks of perfect symmetry combining the remix talents of Embliss and Kinly have provided Anton Ishutin and Leuisn with a strong "Presence" from which success is assured.

An iconic producer with unrivalled global renown, Richard Dorfmeister returns to the underground dance scene through "The Exchange" on brand-new label, ‘dr.rich recordings'. Revered across the globe for his solo work and with fellow Austrian, Peter Kruder, the duo's work under their Kruder & Dorfmeister moniker saw some of house music's finest moments throughout the 1990s.

Now bringing his unparalleled experience and expertise to the fore, Richard Dorfmeister is once again at the vanguard of the underground dance movement as he draws together some of the finest talents to grace the music industry. "The Exchange" is thus a club-oriented collaborative that is built upon the foundations of modern dub in a bid to create a timeless sound that is certain to light up dancefloors across the globe with an iridescent aural glow.

Featuring a host of talents, Dorfmeister teams up with global stars to create a 10-track tour de force that highlights Gotan Project's Philippe Cohen Solal on the deep and soulful, "Which One Are You", while the prolific and esteemed US producer, Brendon Moeller, demonstrates his exquisite musical technique in "Sirene". The vocal talents of Rob Gallagher, whose work as long-time guest vocalist for Dorfmeister's Tosca project plus Kruder & Dorfmeister's legendary live tours, creates a moment of dub-infused magic with production maestro, Mato, on "Earth Man" and "Run Run Run". Further vocal contributions then come from OG Spiritual Godess' Latino-inspired, "Famba", and long-time collaborator, Tweed, whose passion for reggae shines through on "You Know How".

Austrian talent is well-represented with Stefan Obermaier and Megablast making their presence felt throughout with flowing deep house vibes and club grooves, while Steve Cobby, whose classic "Fila Brazil" and "The Solid Doctor" albums saw him gain notoriety, now see the UK producer hitting his stride on the body-shaking grooves of "Keep on Risin" with typically understated British flair.

With Richard Dorfmeister masterminding a melting pot of creative talent, "The Exchange" of musical ideas has resulted in 10-track album of pure gold.

Greece’s DSF is at the forefront of a surging wave of modern deep house producers, blending sounds from across the international electronic spectrum. He is well known as one of All Day I Dream’s most forward thinking artists, with arrangements focused on groove and rhythm, all the while delighting listeners and dancers with joyful and light-filled melodies.

After catching the ear of Lee Burridge, the scene’s most enigmatic taste-maker, he has made a name for himself with releases on the likes of Radiant, Hoomidas, Shanti Moscow Radio, and TrybesOf. His remix of Hosini’s Centauri was one of XYZ’s most well received tracks thus far, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him to the label in full with his Fraoula EP.

Emotional Tourist is a new name on the deep & melodic forefront. A vinyl-only release on Shanti Radio is splendid, supplementing a unique rework of Coldplay that propelled him onto the scene. He’s revisited Pouf, placing a laid-back rhythm under DSF’s melody. The track brings the vocals into more distinct territory and teases the original funk of Pouf in a delightful arrangement. We’re very happy to have him on the label early in his promising journey, as he rounds out an incredible EP for the heart of the winter.
