With a rich heritage in the modern underground dance movement, Iranian, Navid Mehr, has found considerable success from his adopted home in Toronto. As he takes his bow with an exciting debut original EP, Navid Mehr introduces "Solomon's Throne" to Proton Music.

A man with a strong affinity to his Iranian homeland through its beauty and nature, Mehr's work, initially through the Beat Syndrome outfit with Hamed Safi, saw a plethora of high profile releases hit the virtual shelves for the likes of Liquid Grooves, Balkan Connection and Sound Avenue and a rapidly emerging career at the forefront of the underground scene.

Striding out on his own after a ten-year period under the Beat Syndrome moniker, Navid Mehr's production career has continued along a rapidly rising trajectory. Spearheading that charge at the vanguard of the underground scene was the 2015 "Gathas" EP on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat. Featuring the vocal talents of fellow Toronto resident, Amber Long, the resulting EP, also featuring a remix from Ukrainian, Stas Drive, was a landmark moment in a burgeoning solo career. A further solo EP in the shape of "Space Nomads" for Particles followed in April the same year continuing to display Navid Mehr's inimitable sound supplemented by remixes of Jelly For The Babies, Uvo and Tash for Balkan Connection, Spring Tube and Just Movement.

A pair of remixes mark the Navid Mehr contribution to Proton Music thus far as Tvardovsky and Dousk have received standout treatments of their work in 2015 and early 2016. Now returning to the flagship label with a pair of new tracks, Navid Mehr produces "Solomon's Throne".

Opening track, "Cematics", displays Mehr's trademark quality through bouncing percussive groove and subtle ethnic rhythms. A vocalised pad modulates a path across the opening movements before driving beat and rich, sequenced bass make a strong dance floor impression. Evolving elegantly across its near nine-minute journey, the introduction of an intelligently arpeggiated riff adds further to club oriented joy as it filters to a rousing zenith in the third movement, creating a work of passion and skill.

The title track itself is a wonderful slice of deep rhythmic precision, combined with careful melodic interplay as divergent musical refrains coalesce to form a single coherent whole. Underpinned by a strong rhythmic backdrop, clever percussive programming provides the space for richly textured pads to echo the melodic themes of of the opening section in a motif redolent in delays and reverb. A vocal cut adds further to a track that is a tribute Navid Mehr's continued talent.

Crowned with ongoing musical success, Navid Mehr sits on "Solomon's Throne" surveying the sonic landscape below.

Manolo comienza su carrera  a la temprana edad de 18 años recibe su primera residencia de dj en un club muy exclusivo y prestigioso el área de recreo para los ricos y famosos tambien colaborando para el corporativo Club Classico de Mèxico . Para entonces, ya había elegido House & Techno música como su pasión, y es esta música la que lo ha nutrido en una de las más prometedoras carreras para arriba y que viene de Dj de su generación en la actualidad el comenzó a crear un nombre para sí mismo  jugando en eventos locales y Privados de la música electronica en su natal Mexico D,F  pero su estilo único e inigualable ala hora de mezclar rápidamente llamó la atención de los alrededores además de una gran trayectoria como Dj que lo han llevado a tocar en los festivales más importantes de México  y poder  compartir cabina con djs de talla mundial en la actualidad como son algunos de ellos :)
