From the banks of the Volga, "Arepo" rises from a fortified citadel as Anton MAKe forges another powerful construct from the Sator Square. A rhythmic cadence rolls effortlessly forward as a bassline sits below in symmetrical beauty. Melodic splendour ripples concurrently in hypnotic parallel and a heavy beat anchors the symphony of sound. A returning Dutch master orchestrates a new masterpiece redolent in aural textures and opulent sonic palette. Glistening patterns swirl and coalesce around Roger Martinez's vivid synth lines, pitching and bending against a harmonious chord sequence in delicate layers of tonality.

Along Lake Ontario's north western shoreline, a new edifice rises from Dowden's distinctive sonic architecture. Muted tones provide a mirror image of "Arepo"; a bouncing bassline creates easy familiarity while a new groove creates the framework for new artistry to flourish. A South American star creates an arpeggiated backdrop with palindromic majesty where John Cosani reinvents "Arepo". Water droplets of sound filter through the sonic spectrum alongside familiar bass patterns and a swathe of original textures blend in vivid sonic colours.

Founded by Da Luka and Jorgio Kioris, roku arrives in grand fashion with a much-anticipated single from Da Luka and Aman Anand. Hailing from Albania, Da Luka emerged from his country’s electronic music landscape a decade ago. Whether operating in solo capacity or alongside frequent production partner Jorgio Kioris, Da Luka’s creative vision would summon the praise of progressive music tastemakers Cid Inc, Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and more, in turn leading to releases via Droid9, Juicebox Music, Movement Recordings and WARPP. Meanwhile, Indian born, Singapore based artist Aman Anand has enjoyed similar success across his eleven-year career. With a cutting-edge style, Aman has become beloved within the progressive music spectrum, recording standout projects for Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and Sudbeat, while also earning play and support from the genre’s elite guard in Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, for roku’s inaugural offering, Da Luka and Aman combine their extensive forces for the first time, presenting the much anticipated single ‘Mythical Creatures’, alongside remixes from Golan Zocher & Kamilo Sanclemente and Chris Cargo. 

Providing the first interpretation of ‘Mythical Creatures’ are Golan Zocher & Kamilo Sanclemente who make their label debut. Colombian born, Israel based artist Golan Zocher makes progressive music that breaks boundaries, moves feet and twists minds. Following a 2016 debut, the Tel Aviv resident quickly found his place amongst the genre’s elite. Releases via Clubsonica, Mango Alley, Or Two Strangers and Plattenbank, highlight what has been an eight-year creative swell for this elusive talent. With a career that spans the better part of a decade, Colombian artist Kamilo Sanclemente has risen into one of his country’s most beloved progressive house producers. The Cali resident has showcased his music via highly regarded imprints such as All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Replug and The Soundgarden, while earning continued support from the genre’s premiere tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Having been paired together previously on projects for Perspectives Digital and Modern Agenda, Golan and Kamilo unite once again with a stellar rendition of ‘Mythical Creatures’. As a favourite of Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Hernan Cattaneo across 2022, the duo’s remix has received considerable play time, stealing the air at the world’s trendiest clubs and biggest events, most notably BNP Open Life, Loveland, Midway, Moments, Womb and more. Highly sought after as a result, the duo takes inspiration from the original, remodeling the track into a magical slice of groove-centric progressive house. There is no bigger name in the world of underground house music than Nick Muir. An influential figure since the 1990s and co-founder of the artist duo, Bedrock, with John Digweed, the UK artist has consistently found himself dining at dance music's top table alongside the likes of Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Sasha. A multi-instrumentalist and session pianist before entering a fledgling dance industry in the early 1990s, Nick's career highlights read like a wish list for any aspiring DJ the world over. From performances in every corner of the globe to festivals and headline slots at leading club nights, Nick's production career has seen a double century of credits on the Bedrock imprint, while a further slew of original and remix credits can be found on the likes of Vapour Recordings, Perspectives Digital and Robert Babicz's Babiczstyle.

A trio of remixes for Proton Music between 2019 and 2021 have seen reworkings of Rick Pier O'Neil, Sebastian Sellares and Eric Lune as we welcome Nick Muir for his debut original release. "All One Word" is a progressive powerhouse that builds in majestic fashion over its 7-minute duration. Adding layers of sound atop a driving beat and hypnotic percussion, smooth pads and cadenced synth stabs play out alongside a meandering analogue motif that develops effortlessly at the beatless breakdown. Hitting its stride once more and developing into a pulsating dancefloor stormer in the final movement, Nick Muir's production credentials are in full evidence.

An iconic pairing who epitomise the modern progressive house scene, GMJ & Matter have found fame and a calendar full of bookings across their Australian homeland and far beyond its borders. Contemporaneously, a production career has seen the Melbourne-based duo join forces on a century of production credits, often for their own Meanwhile imprint as well as the likes of Anjunadeep, Replug and Balance Music. Regulars on Proton Music since 2016 with their "Superposition", "Interscope" and "Osmosis" EPs, plus remixes for Juan Deminicis, Andre Sobota and Pole Folder, the GMJ & Matter remix of "All One Word" revels in the trademark rhythms of the original as a glorious new arpeggio and deep atmospheric pads emerge out of the percussive collage. Paying tribute to the components found in Nick Muir's work, the track rises and falls with dancefloor ease and melodic sensibility before a huge bassline sequence provides a seething, brooding club monster in the final movement.

"All One Word" sees Nick Muir provide an eloquent soliloquy before GMJ & Matter combine to strike the right chord.

Claudio and Gustavo (Analog Jungs) have been making music for a long time, showing these years their great skills to produce a personal Progressive House that connects directly with the audience. Perfect grooves, amazing melodic elements, solid and well developed structures are some of the virtues that we can find in their tracks.

Integral Bread @integralbread makes a peculiar remix of 'Connection', ussing a lot of original elements, but re-building them to get a different version, also Progressive but less minimalistic, with a develop that guides us across several different ladscapes.
