Release Info: 
Steve Bug and Langenberg's 'Paradise Sold' album dropped earlier this year to quite a rapturous reception. It's hardly surprising that two of the more proli c and passionate men in house music would pull together such a com- plete album of contemporary house music.

Happily, the guys have now curated a new EP of remixes from friends and family to take some of the album's key moments into new directions.

'Search For Xur' gets the treatment by Rodriguez Jr., bringing a very slinky, late night deepness to the original courtesy of a bubbling bassline and emotionally charged synth pads.

'Senior Elfo' is flipped by fellow Germans Frankey & Sandrino, whose knowledge of the deeper end of the tech house spectrum gives the track an epic openness.

Perlon and Panorama Bar legend Cassy drops her Full On Dub Mix of album highlight 'Chord Cluster', and delivers a slick, driving burner for the floor.

Similarly, 'A Touch Of Detroit' is re-rubbed by Ostgut Ton's Virginia with her Broken Touch Of Detroit mix, which channels classic motor city techno legends to produce a near perfect slice of hi tech soul.

PREMIERE: Steve Bug & Langenberg - Senior Elfo (Frankey & Sandrino Remix) [Poker Flat]

ICONYC: "Label artist Alex O’Rion returns with two remixes here, both of which are equally impressive. On Version 1 the Dutch artist reshapes the original elements into something deeper and more spacious sounding. The wonk factor on the low end is quite high and monumentally groovy as well, nicely playing off the rolling rhythmic qualities as dulcet hooks and gentle harmonics drift in and out of the framework. The main break shifts the narrative into more emotive territory but the dance floor sensibility remains, with muted beats and percussive clusters building towards a tasteful drop. Version 2 is a touch more melodic and with a smoother yet still quite bulbous, funky low end, perhaps better suited to a pure progressive set but it’s highly debatable. Two excellent remixes from Alex."

One of Brazil’s most anticipated duos, Demitros and Dante Pippi return to Particles to follow up their debut Pole Folder remix. Quite generously, the fabled Dutchman returns the favor with his first offering to the label in over four years. In an endearing remix of “When You Get There,” a warm central motif blankets the still discernible original melos.

As the founding member of Azari & III, Ali’s roots mixing house and rock certainly run deep. The duo’s remix thus evokes grainy synths, eerie vox and more lively instrumentation.

As one of Japan’s most prolific electronic music producers, Hideo Kobayashi specializes in soulful deep house and floor-smashing techno. Back in March, he launched his own label to push these divergent sounds. Standard Music thus serves as a model for “quality, functional and beautiful” above all else! For its next release, RIWIN takes that sentiment to a whole new level. The Balinese musician and spiritual healer once played in popular Indonesian bands called Pahama and Tropical Transit. When not riffing with the latter, he can now be found mixing electronic music. Rising from his home studio, “Bali Cloud” gushes smooth atmos, soft percussion and balearic guitar.
