'Fragments is a collaboration between two extremely creative Melbourne based producers. Fusing their talents over a year ago, both Bongani & Doshpot spent quite a lot of time harnessing the best parts of each others creative processes to deliver this outsanding EP which embodies progressive and melodic sounds.

The title track symbolises an emotional breakdown and feeling like you have been broken into "Fragments" whilst The B side is a deeper emotive record which represents the end result of glueing everything back together, feeling vibrant and "Whole Again. 

Both records are certified dancefloor records after being tried and tested over the past 6 months.

Doppel returns to UGenius on remix duties with his trademark raw and organic sounds. A staple on the Australian bush doof circuit, Doppel's music sit's in a league of its own and we can't wait to see him thrive around the world soon.'

Leading the compilation is Nopi, for whom 2020 will surely be a career defining year. With releases on Kindisch, Dream Culture, Seven Villas, and a gem of an XYZ debut in the form of the November single Little Tree, the Ukranian is at the forefront of deep and melodic sounds.

Taking pole position for the release is Mayaya - a floating groover, stuffed with thick percussion and Nopi’s signature warm basslines from start to finish. It’s the perfect representation of Nopi’s ability to craft soundscapes that innately feel like home.

With a recent release on Lee Burridge’s surging Tale & Tone, as well as upcoming work with Kindisch, Rider has the attention of the dance community’s most influential tastemakers.

Belugdeh, Jim’s first track on the release, is a house-laden kicker. A wicked afro-rhythm asserts foot moving energy, with a memorable vocal loop and synthy stabs culminating for an amazing debut for XYZ.

With releases on industry titans such as Cocoon, Third Ear, and Hivern Discs, we are thrilled to welcome Mosso to XYZ for one of his more innovative projects to date. The Sirocco EP comes as the Berliner steps into a refreshed musical territory. Touching upon the deeper ends of house, the three track project rests upon his ever-present percussive mastery.

Title-track Sirocco opens the EP, with a groovy rhythm feeding into a soothing melody with atmospheric wind instrumentals. It’s a stellar track to summarize Mosso’s work, with amazing organic craftsmanship supplementing a dancefloor-moving kick.

Open Records is proud to present two stunning remixes of Thankyou City’s influential classic Nothin’ But Chi.

Winner of Budweiser’s Made For Music competition and one of the most streamed and downloaded tracks in Open’s catalogue, Nothin’ But Chi is one of Thankyou City‘s defining tracks and a festival favourite both in Australia and around the globe. To celebrate this seminal tune, Open Records is proud to present two stellar remixes from three in-house artists who form the label’s core management team in 2020.

After 13 years of running Open, founder Jesse Kuch finally makes his debut by joining forces with new A&R Boy with Boat with an upfront progressive cut that pays a strong homage to the original while injecting it with a bit of extra pop. Snappy percussion, fat synths and warm bass underpin this impressive rendition, but it’s the breakdowns where it truly shines with a couple of fun surprises sure to keep even the most discerning dancefloor on their toes.
