NYC event brand Zero launch their new label arm with a superb new EP from German live artist Jacob Groening that comes with remixes from Lovecraft and unders & Noraj Cue. It comes after years of releasing on other vital outlets and establishing himself as a unique voice in the house underground.

Opener Nican feat. Joy Tyson is a deep and spiritual house roller. The lush drums and hits sink you into a cavernous groove and majestic, wispy synths and percussion add the vital detail. Timo slows right down and has finger clicks and a rugged synth riff over the lazy, loveable drums. It's a super nice vibe thats as thoughtful as it is deep.

Timo (Lovecraft Remix) is more upright, but stays just as deep, taking you late into the night on distant synth smears with a rising lead occupying the mind. Jacob Groening - Nican (unders & Noraj Cue Remix) is the most direct of them all, but the airy and angelic vocals keep it heady and spiritual.

"Pi Electro" is a mathematical and hypnotic exploration of electronic rhythm, inspired by the endless digits of π (Pi). The track plays with repetition, precision, and variation — structured like a sonic formula that never truly resolves. It begins with a minimalist pulse, a steady metronomic beat that symbolizes the foundation of calculation. Gradually, layers of synthetic arpeggios, glitch fragments, and modular swells emerge, each echoing the irrational, infinite nature of Pi itself.

Pierre (Bob) Stephan balances cold digital precision with raw human energy. While the sequencing feels calculated, there’s an emotional undercurrent — a rising tension that reflects both the beauty and madness of infinity. The bassline moves in non-linear cycles, sometimes aligning, sometimes slipping, creating the sensation of numbers spiraling out of control but always returning to a hypnotic center.

"Pi Electro" is not just techno, it’s an audio experiment: a meditation on infinity, a coded dance of numbers, and a reminder that even in mathematics, there is groove. A cerebral, futuristic track that feels equally at home in a club or in an art installation.
