Staying in ‘The America’s’ for our next release, we head south, back to Buenos Aires, Argentina the South American nerve centre and heartbeat of Progressive House. 

There we are thrilled to welcome this next pair of artists to the onedotsixtwo family, Maximo Gambini & Q.A.T aka Leandro Maldonado.  These two very bright rising stars of the global progressive scene have been on fire of late with a string of remixes that have been getting regular plays on Hernan Cattaneo’s Resident show as well as his club and festival shows worldwide. This is their first original EP as a duo with both artists having had great success on labels such a Sound Avenue and One of a Kind. 

The lead track ‘Stochastic Process’ is a beautifully crafted melodic journey of sound that builds into a melancholic breakdown before the large drop, enough to make any dancefloor swing sideways. ‘One Sided Thoughts’ takes the path of a more hypnotic journey that weaves a softy gated vocal and smooth pads and effects with a whirring baseline that kicks like mule. 

On remix duties we welcome back long-time label afficionado Weird Sounding Dude who has applied his meticulous sound design to ‘Stochastic Process’ keeping true to the original whilst adding his signature sound, and Turkish artist Hakan Onuzur, who after a short musical hiatus is back in the studio, has a delivered an amazing interpretation of ‘One-Sided Thoughts’ showcasing to everyone, that he’s an artist who should be on your radar.

Celebrating their one year anniversary, DJ Ryan’s La Cura de la Semana welcomes Kamilo Sanclemente to the label for his debut EP. Long regarded as one of electronic music’s most beloved artists, the Colombian producer has taken his progressive minded sound to Anjunadeep, Beatfreak, Clubsonica Records, Replug and The Soundgarden, while earning continued support from genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. In a year that has seen Kamilo operate at his most prolific and consistent, he now brings his sought after beats and melodies to La Cura de la Semana to commemorate the label’s one year anniversary.

Spread across two tracks it is the smooth hypnotic qualities of ‘Colonies’ which get the EP underway. Masterful at creating infectious dance floor minded grooves, Kamilo crafts a strong foundation here as mountainous bass tones provide the backbone for electric rhythms, choir-like overlays and hazy harmonic refrains to create a colourful journey into the main break. Short but impactful, sprialling vocal gates and evolving tones marry across the interlude, conjuring up bucolic visions, before perfectly seguing into a tastefully melodic finale.

Equally impressive is the title selection ‘Hang On’ which finds Kamilo creating oriental style motifs over warm, progressive grooves. Timeless in execution and transcendent in delivery, it’s this hazy atmospheric resonance which perfectly preludes an exceptional vocal narrative. Hopeful and emotive, these impassioned phrases shift the narrative across the second act, opening up pleasure centres as the eastern motifs return for an elegant conclusion. It rounds out two immaculately produced progressive cuts from Kamilo, an artist who has his risen to the top of the progressive music spectrum and continues to operate at a creative peak. Meanwhile, La Cura de la Semana rings in it’s one year anniversary in memorable fashion, and in turn continues to find a nice roster balance between rising talent and sought after veterans. Out of golden summer tones and autumnal harvest, Dmitry Molosh emerges through the "Orchard". From the broad banks of the Mukhavets River, beautiful sonic timbres create a rich sonic hue that glitters in sparkling sunlit patterns. A smooth bassline cadence fills the musical canvas as wonderful shards reveal themselves in sultry percussive rhythms and an exalted air of triumph oozes from every bar.

Dutch mastery from Kasper Koman reveals a new path within the familiar patterns of the "Orchard". A perfectly weighted backdrop provides the foundation for new melodies to emerge from the rhythmic bed. A spine-tingling bass progression reveals a crisp and crunchy new flavour. The golden age of the underground lost and found within an industry icon. Kharkhiv and Karlsruhe joined together by a single thread finds musical cross-pollination via Tantum and Arude. Grown out of storming bassline groove, smooth melodies blossom as delayed arpeggios echo through the trees.

A returning legend, Rauschhaus once again showcases a powerful performance with gentle touch and skill. Fresh melodies emerge from the branches of the "Orchard" to create a delicious aural flavour that shimmers with glissando freedom, while detailed layers expose perfectly formed harmonic phrases that create a sumptuous dancefloor accent.
