The talented duo has been a well-known entity within the scene and have graced some of the world's finest electronic music labels with their unique and lasting productions. The duo developed an inimitable style of music, full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided them to where they are to today and embodies the sound they now personify. People regularly equate their productions as opaque and vivid in equal measures. On their debut the duo leads with the outstanding opening track 'Waking'; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. The latest release from Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Balad back to the label for a new EP entitled ‘A Distant Memory’. The Australian artist first appeared on the Belgian imprint in 2019 with ‘The Days’, an EP produced alongside frequent studio partner Bigasti. The Sydney residents deep sound has continued to flourish as he carefully adds to a resume that includes releases on Balance Music, BeatFreak Recordings, Where The Heart Is and Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden. Now making a welcome return to Sound Avenue, Balad presents his first solo EP for the label alongside a remix from Zone+.

Roger Martinez's Higher States continues a great year by welcoming RIGOONI to the label for his debut single. Hailing from São Paulo, Vinícius Souza aka RIGOONI has been rising out of Brazil's burgeoning electronic music underground. 2019 was highlighted by an appearance on Nick Warren's Balance compilation, setting the stage nicely for a 2020 release on the legendary DJ's The Soundgarden imprint. Subsequent offerings courtesy of MNL, One Of A Kind and Strangers Beats have made for a breakout year. Now fresh off a remix for Luka Sambe's 'Alive Is The Meaning', the Brazilian artist debuts on Higher States with 'When Midnight Comes', alongside a remix from Alex O'Rion.

Often sitting in the creative space between organic and progressive house, RIGOONI once again amalgamates those sensibilities on 'When Midnight Comes'. Anchored by a warm, spacious groove, its atmospheric scope comes up quickly, with glowing overlays and blissful swells layering a bed of effervescent percussion. Haunting vocal fragments marry harmonic drifts across the first act, eventually segueing into the main break. A more distinct musical narrative sits at the heart of the centrepiece, as rustic plucks and piano cascades play off each other wonderfully, resonating against a backdrop of glowing electronics, before the groove drops for a reflective finale.

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'When Midnight Comes' is Alex O'Rion. Having made his Higher States debut in June of this year with two well received Antrim collaborations, the Dutch artist also lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren's Hope Recordings. Now fresh off the release of his 'The Long Walk' EP for Cid Inc's Replug Records, Alex lands back on Higher States for his first remix. Taking a cue from the original while adding a progressive state of mind, Alex crafts a perfect complement to its predecessor. Atop a well contoured foundation comes rolling rhythms and layers of striking percussion. A unique contrast of character and groove eventually reveals fragmented melodies and harmonic overlays, blanketing the pulasting framework for goosebump worthy moments. A bed of percussive delays trails across the main break, subtly building tension as hazy motifs unite for an exhilarating final movement. A stunning remix from Alex once again, which rounds out a superb Higher States debut for RIGOONI. Highly recommended.

The latest release on Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint finds the label showcasing new interpretations of ‘Kafka’ by Ercos Blanka. Originally released in March of this year, it was the lead piece on the third installment of the label’s popular ‘Correlation’ series. Well received by fans and tastemakers alike, its deep, organic musicality resonated throughout the electronic underground, reaching over 1.5 million streams on Spotify in a six-month span. Now looking to refresh the track for the fall season, Sound Avenue invites Arina Mur, LADS and Francisco Aguado to provide their own unique interpretations.

Making her label debut and providing the first interpretation of ‘Kafka’ is Arina Mur. Since making her production debut just two years ago, the Russian artist has found a home on Anjunadeep, Akbal Music and Seven Villas. Also an accomplished DJ, Arina has had the honour of opening for top international talents such as MANDY, Pablo Bolivar, Gorje Hewek and Izhevski. Now making her much anticipated Sound Avenue debut, she puts her own unique twist on ‘Kafka’. Redolent rhythms, exotic percussion and hazy harmonics set the course for this enchanting journey. Mounds of perfectly contoured bass roll forward with capsizing swing, as emerging atmospheres and clustered chimes smoothly shift energy into a glowing break. Reflective and hopeful, the centrepiece furthers the poignant narrative, eventually resetting the groove for a spirited final movement.

"For the 12th release on the label, we have invited two new label debuts: Gil Zambrano & Into the Ether. 

Gil Zambrano, a native of Los Angeles, is known for his aggressive and energetic progressive style featured on labels such as FSOE and Where The Heart Is, taking hints from trance. Into the Ether, a native of England, is known for his soft synth-driven works on Songspire and Freegrant Music. Their single, Never Look Back, combines their identities, exploring strong synths and catchy melodic interludes. The single also features label regular, Gambitt, on vocals.

On remix duty is Mark Tarmonea. Tarmonea is a well-respected producer based in Germany, with releases on labels such as Einmusika, 3000Grad, and his own Eye and Eye and Bull In a China Shop. He is known for his extensive use of the Sub-37, his raspy vocals, and warm melodies. Tarmonea exemplifies his signature sound on the remix, centralizing Gambitt's vocal around sublime Sub-37 stabs and catchy main lead synth melodies."

The french brothers Anton & Viktor Pokorny just released a special work on Rituel Recordings label. This time they wanted to tell us a new story, crafted in their studio in Paris. 

Accurately accompanied by a sustained rythm, epic guitar riffs and marvellous vocals. A  serenade called 'Elephas', inspired by a wonderful spanish romance.
