2018 was quite the year for Stripped Recordings! While welcoming a plethora of new talent, the label continued honing its most promising proteges. With work for Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, Fernando Ferreyra’s Dreamers and Tiësto's legendary “In Search Of Sunrise” comp series, Lucas Rossi reaffirmed that illustrious title. The Argentine makes his original Stripped debut by dealing “Critical Damage” to finish the year strong. Another connoisseur of wispy atmos and fluid melos, Erdi Irmak returns to the label family he’s called home since 2012. Through its swell of emotion, his tenderhearted remix caps a definitive year all-around.

Prior to the full release of our “Fjara Remixed” package in December, Nie Wieder Schlafen present the very first production of the new german project Flowers On Monday. The duo consists out of Stefan Kling and Chris Kusterer, who have both worked on the exciting project of PHCK.
The two gentleman have found their rhythm and signature and are now ready to explore new grounds – build upon the style, they have developed over the last years. Their remix for Quatri‘s “Broken Villages” puts an emphasize on the original vocals, further underlined by a catchy piano progression and a gentle groove, that is playful and moody. Looking towards the peak summer season, we are thrilled to jumpstart July with the return of Jim Rider to XYZ. The Brit is a seasoned veteran of the industry, and has been a key figure in London’s thriving scene throughout the years as both a producer and promoter.

After an extended break from the studio, Jim has revived his artistic drive in incredible fashion. Over the last six months alone, he’s had an EP on Lee Burridge’s surging Tale & Tone, a pair of productions on our Blanche VA, the launch of his own label, and a sumptuous EP on the famed Kindisch . Rider has a firm grasp on the attention of the dance community’s most influential tastemakers, as he continues to unveil a distinct studio prowess. 

For his return to XYZ, Jim has come together with compatriot Mizbee on vocal duty to present a boastful A-side. With appearances on the likes of Toolroom, Hot Creations, and Suara, Mizbee is well versed in the art of alighting a production with powerful vocal work. Ada rides a house kick, with a drumline opening up to a light melody. Mizbee’s sultry tones connect with the bassline, offering exalted prose. Synths and rising percussions elevate energy on the way to Jim’s signature lighthearted groove finding full force.
