About the EP-*
In this new EP Max tried to emphasize the rhythm and groove of this music. As usual it’s a mix of traditional, organic and electronic sounds, with an acid touch this time. 
We’ve got the acoustic drums, electric synths and big rolling basslines, essentials to this Downtempo & Organic House style.
Also multiple effects and arrangements like he always loves to do. 
The beautiful African voices bring deepness and melancholy, which, we think, goes very well with the other elements.
He let his mind travel across the African plains to compose these tracks, and we wish people could do the same while listening to this EP.

Gingaí is the electronic music project of Henrique Saias, based in Ericeira, Portugal.
Percussionist, didge player, capoeirista, overtone singer, traveler - music and ethnic traditions have been a passion for most of his life. His soundweb is filled with tribal elements, orgasmic synths and complex percussions, a deep fusion of the organic and digital worlds. In the stories he weaves, he’s as fluent in the meditative and transcendental as he is in the expansive ritual of dance, flooding the dancefloor with earthy basslines, rattles and positive energy. Digital music with the refreshing presence of natural and elemental sounds, acoustic instruments and the anchoring touch of the human voice in a journey around the world and beyond it.

Drawing inspiration from the sacred volcanic lake Atitlan he calls home in the Mayan highlands of Guatemala, Mixwell weaves his sound from a rich tapestry of cultural influence that invokes the spirits of our ancestral lands while igniting the dancefloor.

"Espíritu de Fuego" explores some of the traditional sounds and textures that have most inspired Mixwell's musical journey - the Afro-Brazilian Berimbau and Cuica on "rebelião", the chilling sound of Colombia's native Gaita flutes on the title track, and the tribal chants on "vudu", all seem to evoke a fiery spirit, a wildly infectious energy that summon the body into ecstatic movement.
