After Dandara and Reza digitally met, they both saw the potential in creating music together. The idea for this EP came from Reza's recent acoustic album "Yin" from which they took different ideas and sounds to create a new story, a shadow to the original narrative.


Shadow of Contemplation reworks the piano in Reza's original "Dhyana", a Sanskrit word meaning Contemplation, this track keeps the meditative nature of the original and takes it on an inward journey of the mind, body and soul.


Shadow of Creation uses a sample from the original, "Shakti", Sanskrit for primordial cosmic energy. This track means to express how the creative source of energy can infinitely transmute.


Shadow of Continuum, is an expansion from a small section of the original "Shiva", a Hindu God who destroys to create, this is the closing thought of the EP, to show how the end of one cycle can be the beginning of another, resulting in a continuum, even if we look for endings and beginnings.

I wanted to have a bouncy yet dark tune to play in clubs. Something that would give smile on people faces while they're dancing their ass off. I also had this idea of simple, fun and catchy lyrics. My girlfriend helped me writing the gimmick and I recorded her voice.

We are excited to announce the release of "Tales Of The Samurai," our new EP from the dynamic duo Pulli & Chomba. They have been making waves in the downtempo scene with their infectious sound and high-energy tracks. This EP takes listeners on a sonic journey through the depths of slow electronic music that is sure to get you moving.

Comprising two original tracks, "Tales Of The Samurai" showcases Pulli & Chomba's ability to seamlessly merge traditional Vocals of the Samurai with modern production techniques.

The EP's opening track, "Ronin," sets the tone with its flawless beat and catchy melodies. The title track “The Call O f The Samurai” is convincing with heavy, electronic sounds and a dirty character. To complete the release, Joe Carl, Planet Caravan and Söriös twisted the originals in their typical manner.

We want to thank all artists involved, as well as our great mastering engineer Haunted Water and the always spot on artwork designer Kilian Van de Water.

Ain’t No Sunshine– “Sunshine”, takes on the symbolic meaning as its considered an everyday occurrence. The interpretation behind the track is “Wherever, whenever, whoever or whatever Ain’t no Sunshine more beautiful than my own”. It’s a meditative and introspective track that weaves together a tapestry of emotions and experiences. The melody begins with a simple and gentle soft synth, followed by the entrance of the vocals – raw and emotive, conveying a sense of vulnerability and yearning. 

As the track progresses, additional elements are introduced – a haunting piano, a pulsing bassline, ethereal harmonies and saxophone – all coming together to create a rich and layered soundscape that reflects the complexity of the human experience. After bursting onto the scene in late 2017, Hyperloop makes his Drumcode debut with Green Velvet in toe. 

Followers of Truesoul will be clued up on the quality one can expect from Hyperloop. Last October he marked the label’s 100th with ‘In The Loop’, a superb three-tracker that signalled his arrival on the scene and highlighted a stunning year for the label. As 2018 picks up pace, Hyperloop returns with a tougher follow up for Drumcode. 

His ‘Mentalizm’ EP is a classy example of his versatility, a trio of original works, accompanied by two DJ tools. Beginning on a menacing tip, ‘In Your Mind (Reflections)’ is a low-end brew of industrial stabs, eerie melodies and subterranean vocals. ‘S-Sound’ is his collaboration with Chicago legend Green Velvet and is a percussive masterstroke of loops and drum riffs which drive the eight-minute track with all the puffing ferocity of a steam train. ‘Spring on the Battlefield’ is the perfect contrasting accompaniment, as a warm rush of strings covers a bed of intricate analogue effects and stomping kicks.

We toyed with the idea of keeping it as a top-secret weapon for personal use, but decided to share it with the world instead.
