In September 2021, Rudy provided Proton Music with a trademark display of beautiful melodies and sumptuous production values via his 3-track "Substrate". Returning to the EP a pair of new remixes feature the talents of Turkish and Indian artists.

Erdi Irmak is a renowned figure across the Proton Music and Particles catalogues, accounting for over 60 production credits between the two labels. As prolific as he is talented, the Turkish artist has seen his "Hidden Arcadia" series become a regular source of evocative and powerful original music, backed by a series of high-profile remixes.

Returning to Proton after recent excursions on When We Dip XYZ, Songspire Records and Tale & Tone, the Erdi Irmak remix of "Substrate" is an immaculately crafted affair that engages through complex percussive arrangement before a swathe of new production material takes the melodic elements of the original and transforms them into an emotive new interpretation. String passages and rhythmic synth motifs create sumptuous counterpoint phrasing, while Rudy's central piano elements ripple and meander through the 7-minute piece with ease. The result is a track that showcases Erdi's skill, talent and technique in glorious harmonic technicolour.

Through his Weird Sound Dude moniker, Abhijith Hegde is an artist who has continued to develop a powerful production persona. Able to transcend the progressive house genre with his forays into organic house and a distinctive sound, Weird Sounding Dude is a name that has grown in stature and momentum with high-profile releases for the likes of Anjunadeep, Hoomidaas and Mango Alley.

Now making his Proton Music debut, the Weird Sounding Dude remix of "Different Line" immediately tantalises with a bright rolling groove and deep kick. Building in effortless fashion, an array of pads and textures are layered beneath an intelligently cadenced synth line. Using Rudy's piano elements to devastating effect, they flow through the second half to create a beautifully weighted melodic flow that encapsulates the themes of the original while showcasing Weird Sounding Dude's production credentials.

A pair of new remixes from Erdi Irmak and Weird Sounding Dude perfectly illustrate a plethora of stratified layers in Rudy's "Substrate".

An iconic figure in the dance music industry, Dousk's "French Sauce feat. eSoreni" was another example of the Greek producer's skill and craft. Proton Music now returns to the title track with remixes from Belarus and the Netherlands.

Belarusian, Mikhail Akulich, has been at the forefront of his country's music scene for over five years with his Michael A moniker and his unique blend of "progressive house and techno, with a minimalist slant". Founder of the rapidly growing, Genesis Music, Akulich has used the label to showcase his own work while attracting a host of star names. A prolific artist, Michael A has over 600 production credits to his name for the likes of Superordinate Music, Balkan Connection and Particles. An established contributor to Proton Music, four original EPs have graced the label's catalogues in a short 12-month period with March 2018's "Aura Tears" showcasing a maturing talent through an EP of the highest quality. A single reworking of Luc Angenehm's "Kaiserkraft" in April 2017 demonstrated impressive remix skills as Michael A returns to Proton with a distinctive and typically impressive interpretation of "French Sauce". A dynamic, floor-filling offering, a fizzing shaker-fuelled percussion line comes immediately to the fore as Dousk's lead motif ripples across the mid-range in hypnotic splendour; the original's vocal sample also prevalent. Evolving smoothly, a new arpeggio lead emerges, coruscating in simple patterns while further melodic tropes present themselves in brilliant fashion atop a dominant, club-oriented beat. The result is a wonderful interpretation, full of craft and musical sensibility.

Hailing from a country with a rich heritage in the dance music industry, Dutch producer, Niels Schilder, has been a revelation with his Malbetrieb production soubriquet. A practician of "deep, groovy house and techno with an innovative progressive flair", Schilder has helped develop his country's underground dance movement through his co-founding of the Klopfgeist label and "Club Paradigm", Groningen. A production career that began in early 2009 has blossomed into a century of production credits for some of the finest modern imprints that includes Uone's BEEF Records, Dave Seaman's Selador and BOg's ATLANT Recordings. Moreover, 2015's eleven-track album, "Life in the Clouds", for his own Klopfgeist, marked another high-point in the Malbetrieb production portfolio. Making his Proton Music debut, the Malbetrieb remix of "French Sauce" is a wonderfully crafted piece that delights with head-shaking percussive groove and intelligent use of original components. Building hypnotically, Dousk's vocal sample features behind strong rhythmic components as a collage of melodic motifs – central to the original – pitch and bend in a richly-layered breakdown before they are reprised in the third movement atop the infectious groove and a host of additional production material.

A pair of remixes from and Michael A and Malbetrieb ensure Dousk's "French Sauce" is still the perfect topping.

El Maestro returns on Sudbeat after another studio excursion with Soundexile that gave birth to ‘Astron'. A huge remix from LA-based DJ/composer, Davi complete this amazing summer package!

Whether he’s compiling music for his world-famous Resident radio show, touring the globe, creating epic musical memories with long-time DJ partner, Nick Warren or working on his own tracks, Hernan Cattaneo has, for the last 30 years, devoted every waking moment in the pursuit of perfection and together with studio partners, Soundexile, he has created dance floor dynamite: a subtle groover with sledgehammer impact. 

Based around a shaker-led percussion and off-kilter low end touches, delicate synth notes punctuate adding flavour to the drummy undercurrent; emotive pads draw the listener in for a closer look. Slowly, the groove reveals itself, reaching fever pitch in the second half. On remix duties, Davi takes things into deeper waters emphasising the emotive qualities of the original to devastating effect.

Carlos Pires is going to spread some of his work with his Ep 'Driver', including 'Driver' and 'Take Care Of Us' two great tracks full of melodic vibes and with a strong bass and to complement this huge Ep, WO-CORE gave us an amazing remix of 'Driver'.
