A legendary figure within the underground dance scene, Savvas has been involved in electronic music for three decades. A veteran of the DJ circuit and a production career dating back to a 2011 debut, the Greek artist has been a familiar sight on the likes of Anjunadeep, The Purr and 3rd Avenue. A trio of remixes for Proton Music have seen reworkings of Erdi Irmak, Rick Pier O'Neil and GMJ as Savvas now releases his debut EP on the label with "Reminisce".

A sonic triumph with a beautiful melodic narrative, the title track lilts enticingly along its 9-minute journey with a delicately flowing lead line. Beautiful piano phrases add to the sonic tapestry as breathy vocal and complementary motifs create a stunning work. A rolling rhythmic groove and deep kick provide the backdrop for "Momentum" to continue the rich melodic atmosphere as free-flowing lines and subtly plucked guitar themes resonate gently. Through a beautiful combination of counterpoint phrasing the track oozes class and craftsmanship. Characterised by a glorious broken beat rhythm, "Reflections" harkens back to a bygone era of progressive breaks as sublime melodies flow, juxtaposed to a chunky rolling cadence. Full of delicate touches that evolve and blossom over the 6-minute piece, the track hypnotises with a repetitive sonic beauty that culminates in a powerful woodwind sequence post breakdown.

A Proton Music newcomer, RIGOONI is a much sought-after name. After a 2018 debut, the Brazilian artist quickly went on to see his music signed for a host of blue-chip imprints. February 2020 marked a notable highlight as "Serenade" appeared on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, swiftly followed by remixes for Meanwhile, Particles and the beautiful "Petrichor" as part of "Anjunadeep Explorations 17". Supported by the DJ elite of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Warren himself, the RIGOONI remix of "Reminisce" is a gorgeous interpretation that glitters around a light percussive backdrop and thumping kick. Making intelligent use of original components, new melodies flow from the seeds sown by Savvas into emotive new sequences and mesmerising patterns. Pausing for breath at the breakdown, additional chord progressions ebb through the third movement to create a distinctive and breath-taking new remix.

An artist with a rich musical heritage to his name, Vridian combines elements of melodic techno and deep house to create a vibrant and distinctive sound. A recognised DJ across his Indian home, Vridian's production career has seen him sign his work to such celebrated labels as Manjumasi, Qilla Records and Dream Culture. Returning to Proton Music after an impressive 2020 reworking of Soulwerk, Vridian initially swaps the chunky broken beat of Savvas' original with a subtle rolling groove and subterranean kick. Building elegantly, a shimmering breaks pattern enters the fray as an immaculately syncopated bassline sits perfectly between to create a sublime dub sound. As the free-flowing melody of "Reflections" meanders through proceedings, gently pitched dub keys pitch effortlessly into the second half to create an innovative sound.

A musical triptych combined with remixes from RIGOONI and Vridian have given Savvas plenty to "Reminisce" about.

Weird Sounding Dude is a Bangalore based music producer/DJ. He has always enjoyed a place in the underground dance music culture. His trademark chuggy grooves and squelchy rhythms are sure to satisfy his audience but there are always a few surprises along the way.

As it happens with a lot of artists, only DJ’ing wasn’t enough for his musical expedition, so he embarked on a journey to prove his worth as a self-taught producer. Drawing his influences from the likes of James Holden, Extrawelt, Nathan Flake, and Worakls. Being a regular on the charts of Beatport, his music has gained continuous support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Cid Inc., Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Guy J, Nick Muir, and many more.

He has already made a mark in the underground circuit with releases on Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Kindisch, Plattenbank, Perspectives Digital, onedotsixtwo, Juicebox Music, Eat My Hat Music, Balkan Connection, 3rd Avenue, Tarnished Tracks, If You Wait Music, Strangers Beats, Strange Town Recordings, Stripped Recordings among many others. Well-known blogs Progressive Astronaut, Change Underground, Underground Tel-Aviv, When We Dip, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Melodic Deep Bespoke Music, Husa Sounds have shown regular interest in his tracks.

He has also made a mark on the DJ circuit by performing at music festivals like Sunburn, R.E.S.E.T., La Foresta (Sri Lanka), Ctrl Alt Dance, Krank, Locals District. 
He’s had the privilege to perform alongside the likes of Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger, Stan Kolev, Jimpster, Vaal, Dauwd, BOg, Ziger, Navar, Kastis Torrau. He was also nominated under the Techno category for MyFav Awards (2014-15).

It’s safe to say that this “Dude” in particular isn’t just another kid on the block. His voyage has slowly started to take shape with no intention of slowing down.

PFG The Progcast - Episode 66 - Weird Sounding Dude

Gerard Bozyk is a Polish DJ, residing in Dublin, Ireland.  With his innovative and forward thinking approach he is never afraid to dig deeper when selecting his music for his DJ sets & podcasts.  Gerard has been passionate about electronic music for almost two decades now.  

Currently he holds a spot on the infamous Proton radio based in USA where he hosts his monthly show Metropolis. His podcasts have been featured numerous times in ten most listened mixes on the station including couple of no. 1 spots. 

His greatest achievement to date is winning Decode magazine's Mix of the month competition back in 2016.  Gerard has also released two exclusive compilations for Spotify & Apple music for Proton music and its sub label Particles, along with the second one for Sound Avenue & 3rd Avenue which are one of the most respected progressive house labels.

In June of 2019 he joined forces with local heroes ''Melodic'' on support duties for Khen (Lost & Found, Ajunadeep, Bedrock) which was one of most memorable nights to date.

As a part of ''Fusion Underground'' DJ collective he is currently working on the launch of new club nights in Dublin, plus some forthcoming projects with the Exclusive Series to be announced soon.

The Exclusive Series - Episode 14 - Gerard Bozyk

Having been DJing for over 15 years now, C-lyn's passion for progressive electronic music has gone nowhere but up. 

It all started at a Philadelphia area warehouse rave back when she was a teenager.  But her passion really exploded when she finally heard the legends themselves, Sasha and Digweed, at the famous NYC club Twilo. A short while after it was her music and DJ friends encouraged her to try a little DJing herself, as it was obvious to them that music was part of her.   

C-Lyn has since established herself by being invited to be a guest on Frisky Radio multiple times, has had a 3 year long residency on the former Progressive Beats Radio and now holds a residency every 3rd Saturday of the month on Subcode Radio.  

C-Lyn's style is a combination of deep and dark tech driven prog which always promises to take you on a musical journey you won't be quick to forget.

‘EL1AX’  (@el1ax) is the Techno/Progressive moniker of Elias Attumally, under which he produces deep progressive house, melodic techno and electronica. Hailing from Kerala(IN), Elias drew inspiration from legendary trance acts such as Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold during his formative years as a music producer. In early 2010s, as a self-taught music producer, Elias used to produce Trance under the alias ‘Juvelis’ with which he got signed to the Trance/Progressive house imprint Intricate Records (Russia) in 2014 before taking a break.
Currently residing in Seattle (US), in 2020 Elias rekindled his passion for producing music and launched his new techno moniker ‘EL1AX’, having acquired a new love for the deeper side of electronic music during his hiatus - through the works of techno/prog maestros such as Guy J, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Patrice Baumel, Alex O’Rion and other underground musicians. 

In May 2021, Elias made his debut on Praveen Achary’s Bangalore (IN) based underground techno label Juicebox Music with his track ‘Sunset Over Puget Sound’ which was released along with great pieces from top-notch Techno/Progressive artists such as Subandrio, Scippo, Monojoke, Greg Tomaz and more, as part of Juicebox Music’s explorative ambient compilation ‘Tales of Time: Chapter 2’. The VA album received rave reviews and entered the Top 100 Releases on Organic House and Electronica genres on Beatport. His track also received great feedback and support from the Progressive community, including support from prog legend GMJ on his Future Memory show (Ep. 51) and May ‘21 Beatport Charts.

Elias continues to spread his love for Techno/Progressive through his podcast “Peace of Mind Techno” through which he curates deep, meaningful and hypnotic house and techno. Keep an eye out for some great releases from EL1AX.

Following a string of well received album remixes from Tim Green, Gui Boratto and Martin Roth, German wunderkind Ben Böhmer now offers up dreamy collaborative cut ‘Lost In Mind’ for Russian duo Volen Sentir to stamp their mark.

Lifted from his acclaimed debut LP ‘Breathing’, Ben and Malou’s ‘Lost In Mind’ receives a pair of new reworks. First up, leading with a percussive-heavy groove, Volen Sentir’s ‘Vision’ emphasises the heartfelt vocals, with hypnotic melodies and soothing pads, whilst their ‘Interpretation’ features a syncopated bass rhythm accompanied with an atmospheric string solo.
