In Hindu Philosophy and some Indian religions, samskaras or sanskaras (Sanskrit: संस्कार) are mental impressions, recollections, or psychological imprints that colour one's thoughts and actions, and form the basis for the development of karma theory.
In Buddhism, the Sanskrit term samskara is used to describe "mental formations," "will," and many other concepts; in Pāli it is referred to as saṅkhāra.

According to various schools of Indian philosophy, every action, intent or preparation by an individual leaves a samskara (impression, impact, imprint) in the deeper structure of the person's mind. These impressions then await volitional fruition in that individual's future, in the form of hidden expectations, circumstances or a subconscious sense of self-worth. These Samskaras manifest as tendencies, karmic impulses, subliminal impressions, habitual potencies or innate dispositions.

The original and VIP versions set the foundation at 92 bpm, while Cavedweller’s remix adds a dark sub‑bass layer that changes the mood without touching the tempo. Juliano Gomez and Oondza pick up the pace slightly, delivering groovy slow‑techno renditions. Alacrán del Amor and Fernn go even further, turning the track into slow‑techno bangers with their signature bouncy touches. vietzen closes the EP with a progressive house remix that builds tension and plays creatively with the original elements.

Despite the BPM shifts, all versions keep the melodic thread that makes “Passerine” instantly recognisable.

UK duo, Trilucid have been rising stars on Proton Music with their sparkling original work. Now revisiting "A Moment" from their February 2023 EP, a pair of new remixes come from Greek and Argentinean talents.

An artist with a long and impressive career, Ioannis Paschalis has been a consistent diner at underground music's top table for over a decade. A triple century of credits dating back 15 years are testament to the Greek artist's longevity within an ever-evolving industry as are releases signed to such esteemed imprints as All Day I Dream, Tale & Tone and TRYBESof. Now making his Proton Music, DSF delivers an intelligent and powerful reworking. Using an intricate rhythmic foundation as a vehicle to display his considerable talents, the Greek producer uses a key melodic theme of "A Moment", appearing at the breakdown in the original, and transforming it into a central pillar of his interpretation. Driving forward with pace, the shimmering and arpeggiated motif filters in and out of sonic range with typical dancefloor knowhow, pausing for breath at the breakdown and building easily into the third movement courtesy of snare roll crescendo. Hitting its stride once more in the final stages, the smooth melodic undulations take hold with an emotive piano sequence adding further club-friendly vibes to proceedings.

Martina Mozzoni and Matías Villafañe have become increasingly prominent figures within the underground dance scene. Under their Alto Astral moniker, the pair began their production journey in mid-2021 with original music on Balkan Connection, Movement Recordings and 3rd Avenue. With their "groovy and emotional tunes, gathering original vocals and analog instruments", their unique sound has won plaudits from all corners. After a remix of Juan Deminicis' "Rebellion" and Petar Dundov's "Day Unseen" for Particles in late-2021 and 2022, a reworking of Michael A's "Fantasy" in early 2023 marked a Proton Music debut. "Heartbeat Collective" then provided an immaculately curated collection of original tracks and remixes in July 2024. Now returning, the Alto Astral "Summer Remix" opens with percussive verve and pitched effects while a pulsating wave of melodic layers converge, intelligently revealing the lead motif from "A Moment". Cadenced stabs add to the club-friendly character in the second half to devastating effect. A second remix bristles with rhythmic poise in the early stages before subtle melodic flourishes come to the fore alongside fizzing percussive energy. Refrains from the original make their presence felt before trademark vocal refrains from Martina are layered beautifully together at the breakdown, rising to a wonderful zenith. Dropping back into the dynamic rhythmic pattern in the second half, the Alto Astral remixes are a triumph of innovation and craftsmanship.

Though remixes from Alto Astral and DSF, Trilucid celebrate once more with "A Moment" in the spotlight.

The Soundgarden’s Winter Collection 2020 is here and will leave you reminiscing of dancing under a Tulum sunset.

Bruno Andrada opens the collection with enchanting percussion and electrifying synths that dance across his 10-minute track A Hidden Part Of You. Next up, it’s Lisandro (AR) and NAHS with Sea. The duo have collaborated to produce a hypnotic track combining quintessential electronic beats with juxtaposing ethereal classical chords. Upbeat drums persist throughout with melancholy strings softening the experience creating a diverse and engaging 7 minutes. 

Taking you on a journey from warehouse rave to a euphoric tranquil state is Anhauser, Nicolas Leonelli and Lio Q with their ode to underground house, Lorean. Then, jumping straight in with a soulful melodic beat, Ultraverse’s Felicita dominates the collection. With eerie vocals, overlapping steelpan notes and a strong backbeat, no corners of the audio spectrum have been left untouched. 

Eternal Seconds is a transcendent electronic track presented by Bautista Toniolo, which breathes new life into a variety of classic electronic sounds. After appearing on previous The Soundgarden collections, LeSonic is back with a collaboration with Wassu and their ecstatic track, In Aere. Perfectly blending electrifying synths and upbeat percussion this track is full of ecstasy which is impossible to ignore. 

We’re now reaching the halfway point, and Chris Cargo’s Prism hits us with a signature progressive house sound that many have been itching for. With each element balanced flawlessly, the song beautiful builds to a balanced drop leaving you yearning for the feeling of being in a crowd. Up next, Leo Roth’s Camps combines experimental tempos with an intoxicating synth loop earning its place on the collection.

Slowing building up momentum, RIGOONI’s contribution towards the Winter Collection, A Horse and a Blowing Horn, invites you to enjoy multiple climatic drops. With modified dystopian sounds layered upon a timeless backbeat a coherent and intriguing sound is produced. Next up, Deviu’s Make Me Feel is the gift that keeps on giving. The track continually evolves throughout the six minutes and yet still manages to create a cohesive soundscape. 

Finding grace amongst the chaos is the upbeat electronic sound of Ivan Aliaga’s Fire Drop with the brightness of the synths shining through. Ramiro Drisdale and Francisco Garcia’s Mirrors is next up, and it combines textures to create a multifaceted rhythm that elevates audiences while keeping the vibe of the evening alive. Weird Sounding Dude presents the penultimate track, Embarkment, blending the essence of techno with progressive house creating a refreshingly euphoric melody. Finishing off the Collection, Mike Griego’s My Last Hope is filled with glossy synths and contains a plethora of sounds with dancefloor detonating potential.
