Sangoma Records series continues with an exclusive mix by COSINUS including his freshest tunes.

Cosinus was born in Germany 1979 and currently living in Biel, Switzerland. Michael discovered the world of electronic music at the age of 13 and was inspired by artist like Yello, Kraftwerk and the sounds of Detroit techno and house music. His first steps in his DJ career started behind a pair of turntables at a local youth club in his hometown. After 20 years of rocking dancefloors with his energetic sets he put his focus now on his own musical creations that he plays in his livesets (and occasional DJ sets). Cosinus is signed to Sangoma Records and released tracks on labels such as Woodog Records, Macky Mad House Records, Subsystem Records,Forestdelic Records to name just a few. In 2015 he released his first EP “Mudulated Frequencies” and compiled Ironic Creatures and Ironic Cultures with DJ Izzy on Sangoma. So far he played in Germany, Austria, USA, Switzerland and the Netherlands. His sound can be described as epic pumping, jumping and snarling forest psytrance – a fusion between nighttime psychedelic and deep forest friendly atmospheres. His story fits perfectly to the early hours of the morning as well as the middle of the night – powerful music to tune on heads. An artist that shouldn’t be missed at any party.

Bom Shanka Music series continues w/ HEADWORKS.

Headworks is a Psytrance Live Act from England/Goa
Rowan Trangmar, the brains behind Headworks has been immersed in the Goa scene since the 80’s, growing up surrounded by tripped out, fluro-spandex wearing hippies falling out of coconut trees, there was never really much hope for him… One thing he did get out of it was witnessing the evolution of Goa Trance into Psy Trance first hand.
Having DJ’d at legendary parties in Goa and international festivals for the last 15 years and heavily involved with the ever growing Shiva Valley parties, Rowan wanted to take people on his own psychedelic journey with his live act, Headworks. Staying true to his roots and keeping the essence and energy of Goa Trance in his music, but obviously with slightly better production, his music has been described as “super infectious and high energy, which is funky, crunchy and has a underpinning groove that is pure down-and-dirty”.

The new EP from headworks called ‘AriiieK’ is out on the 30th sep on Bom Shanka Music.

The first single to be taken from his forthcoming debut artist album, ‘Frozen Ground’ reunites ilan Bluestone with British singer / songwriter Giuseppe De Luca. 

Since joining the label in 2014, ilan has been at the forefront of the evolving trance sound. With an ear for hooky instrumentals, organic chords and dance floor minded productions, the likes of ‘Big Ben’, ‘Spheres’ and ’43’ became euphoric moments in DJ sets for the likes of Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren.

A prolific touring artist, ilan has headlined the Anjunabeats North American tour in 2016 and 2017 as well as joining Above & Beyond at Madison Square Garden and Sydney’s All Phones Arena.

The follow up to ilan and Giuseppe’s breakout hit ‘Bigger Than Love’, ‘Frozen Ground’ was debuted during Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 200 show in a sold out 13,000 capacity Ziggo Dome.

For Giuseppe, inspiration for the song came after he joined ilan on stage at EDC, “there’s something about witnessing a sea of people gathered together to feel something that really helps to warp the borders of reality. I had this Brechtian idea of a specific sound, that when heard, would snap the listener out of their everyday veneer and allow them to connect with who they truly are. On Frozen Ground, I feel that sound, forever."
