On this highly atmospheric release you get a mix of deep analogue drone, dark beats, ethereal walls of sound and subtle field recordings. 

Years ago the beat of the shaman's drum pulled your tribe out of the motherland. Now as you make your way home everything has changed. The smell of burnt wood linger in the canopy of the forests, clicking machinery reverberate deep within. Trees malformed, technology fused with nature, the prophecy of the shaman was wrong. The ancient land now lies perverted by the swarm, but the tribe is coming home.

This is a collection of compositions which can be seen from different perspectives. A common resonance permeates every episode, the leitmotif of the "past", as if it recalls about its nature and brings back to the present.

Modular Memories

protoU, Sasha is a trained violinist and choir vocalist who grew up with an addiction to music. Her first ventures into her own productions were a strong mix of distorted electronics, a far cry from her classical background. With the studio foundations in place she started producing a multitude of related genres like drum n bass, ambient and electronic music. Inspired by the dark ambient people in her life she surrounded herself with she slowly drifted into the scene and started turning her productions towards the depths. She has described dark ambient as something that gives her a freedom of thought in relation to the complexity of the world of wonders, a mix between the simple and the difficult.
