FROG GOD (Matt Reilly) is a lo-fi psychedelic synthpop musician from San Diego, California. 

all music is written, recorded, and produced by the Frog God himself. 

Frog God was founded in 2015 and has been steadily releasing full-length albums and EPs ever since.

1. Frog God sounds best with headphones set to its highest volume, while under the influence of something (anything). 

2. Do not be alarmed when songs change genre wildly from track to track. You may encounter maximalist synth pop anthems, energetic shoegaze shanties, catchy & groovy instrumental jingles, moody & introspective dream pop dirges, spacey psychedelic ballads, or even a few vaguely religious hymns. Relax; this is the normal Frog God experience.

Mental Pictures is my surreal, other-worldly, melodically colorful musical landscape conceptually created over the last 30 years, between my time busking in the streets and underground tunnels of Montreal, London and around Europe, to my time living and recording in Athens, Ga back in the mid-1990s to my time coming home and setting up my life and studio in the beautiful Golden Isles of South East Georgia in the early 2000's where I met my lovely Russian wife Elena with whom we now have three cool kids, Liam, Max and Chloe. 

Mental Pictures delves into the nature of reality and all things mystical, wonderful and hidden that are perceived through the senses. I like to bring light to the world and I use the songs as vehicles for my "out-there" thoughts and messages. I see the world as an Energetic Realm where we each get to play a part and explore the nature of our consciousness, where the universe experiences itself through transformation and transmutation of amazing energies, and in that regard I hope to inspire others to be their best enlightened human character, so to speak, during this amazing life journey we are all experiencing. :) 

I hope you dig the words and sounds I have created... as I made them especially for people like you...people who are willing to look deeper than what is on the surface.
