Born in Geneva in 1954, he practices flute since his youngest age and makes his musical studies at the Conservatory of Geneva, where he receives his music diploma in 1980. Beside the studies of flute, he also learns synthesizer programming, composition and counterpoint. Pupil of Rainer Boesch, he becomes a specialist of the electroacoustic music, and works actively on the integration of the synthesis and the traditional instruments. For twenty years, he organizes a set of systems of sound production, which goes through flute amplification and the processing of sound signal by electronic and computing. As a composer, he works for theater, dance and contemporary music. Fascinated by jazz, he is a part of some of the foremost groups of musical research at the moment. His discography is often made in collaboration with other artists (Jean-Bernard the Cop, Sskies 3, in everything about fifteen albums. He teaches the flute and the electroacoustics in the Conservatoire populaire de musique and the Jazz professional school of Geneva since 1999.
