With a deep passion for all things techno, we introduce you to this weeks guest artist Biggs. Having been involved in Melbourne’s music scene since a young age, Biggs has performed at some of Melbourne’s most iconic dance music venues including My Aeon, New Guernica and Revolver, and has most recently supported Mha Iri on her 1605 EP Launch. As Biggs progresses and evolves through his music, he explores into different moods of techno and this has lead to him providing us with a very special mix, showcasing his love for the deeper and more emotional side of techno and digging up some of his most special tracks the he has been saving for the right time. He was first introduced to the moodier style by his dear friend and fellow musician Chris Larsen (Aeonian), which channeled Biggs into his deeper side whilst retaining that high energy he is known for bringing to the dance floor. 
Even just from speaking to Biggs you can hear how passionate he is about taking his listeners on an ethereal journey through his deeper melodies of techno, so get ready to settle in to the flow of the music and transcend deep down into your mind.

There is a distinct niche in the void of electronica between raging techno and the delicate flower of groove that is tech house. A gaping chasm rarely filled with the inter genre specialisation required to progress an evening. The ability to cast a fruitful sunset of dance and cocktails toward a jaw clenching, foot stomping, session pit of destruction. 
BANDO, the solo alias of up-and-coming artist Bailey Andersen, aims to fill that void in the night and redirect the fractured souls of the punter by weaving darkness into the light. BANDO’s sets and productions range from minimal and progressive to bass-line heavy Brazilian and Bush influenced techno.
BANDO has been gaining significant traction in the Australian underground scene in recent years, he’s now divulging into the diverse cosmos that is international electronic music. An artist to many labels, a host to many notorious parties and a performer to numerous, infamous events.

Dylan Smith - Melbourne, Australia

Techno // Melodic // Driving

With his passion for music cemented in from a young age, Dylan discovered the sound that has inspired him since in the wee hours of the morning of Rainbow Serpents market stage in 2012. 
It was then that he discovered the dark, melodic and heaving techno beats that has helped curve his taste in music. 

Through his journey in the ever evolving and deepening music scene; Dylan plays under the alias of ‘Lowtep’ and blends a mixture of emotive darker, driving techno with the Melbourne collective of ‘Capture’. He also mixes it up from time to time with a funky and heavier tech house vibe alongside another Melbourne crew known as ‘Rewired Rhythms’. 
During these escapades it has seen him play venues such as Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon, New Guernica, DaHa Bar, Lucky Coq and internationally at Grand Cafe and Stevie’s in Lagos, Portugal. 

From melodic breaks and bushy, chugging bass; combined with a mixture of dark, ethereal and emotional tones. Experience what Lowtep has to offer.
