In the midst of the Australian outback rests one of the worlds largest radio telescope arrays.
The listening devices together have the power to hear into deep space, Thus providing a larger understanding of the universe around us; An amplification of the evolutionary gift that we call the sense of sound.
At some point in 2020 they intercepted an abundance of very peculiar signals coming from a star located with in our neighbouring system, Alpha Centauri.
With each message intercepted the signal only grows stronger, soon enough it may lead to contact.
Patience is virtue, they take about two weeks to come through.

Melbourne’s Luke Alessi steps to the plate for Lost Sundays Sessions #012.

A key support for RUFUS DU SOL (alongside Jon Hopkins) on their upcoming 2022 tour, Luke’s sublime take on house has seen him release on renowned labels such as Stil Vor Talent, Mobilee and Motorik. Spanning the likes of HOSH, Enamour, Keinemusik and *several* Alessi originals, this mix finds Luke in fine form ahead of a busy year of new music in 2022.

In his own words:

“I open this mix with a track called ’22 Dance Demo’ by New Zealand producer, Eden Burns. He’s someone I only recently discovered and his tracks have a great balance between warm, organic grooves with an upbeat housey vibe, which suits the style I’m currently moving towards. 

Speaking of summer, the track that makes me smile the most in this mix is actually an older track from 2008, Ralf Gum feat. Diamondancer ‘All This Love For You’. It gives me massive summer vibes which is exactly what I wanted for this mix - something upbeat and happy, day dreaming of a summer out of lockdown.

There are also 3 unreleased tracks of my own in there which I can’t wait to finally give a test run in a club in the near future. It’s hard to say right now how they might be received, as it’ll be interesting to see how the music made in lockdown translates to the dance floor. Either way, I’m going to find out soon enough whether I’ve got any genuine heaters on my hands or if it’s back to the drawing board - the dance floor never lies. 

Finally, a quick shout out to the stacks of amazing artists coming out of Aus right now across such a wide variety of genres and styles! Next up on Gem Records is the Christian Smith & Wehbba remix of Point Blank AKA Secret Cinema - Meng’s Theme which served as inspiration for Adam Beyer to start making techno back in ‘94. The re-release is part of the SILVER project celebrating Secret Cinema’s 25 years in music and comes with a brand new remix by Christian Smith & Wehbba. The EP is ready to hit digital stores on August 19th. A total of nine Secret Cinema classics will be re-released with remixes both digital and vinyl as part of the box set SILVER.

While Gregor Tresher's original album ”Quiet Distortion“ still resonates on dance floors around the world, we are more than happy to present to you a wonderful and versatile remix package of select album tracks. We believe the lineup of remixers really speaks for itself:
First up we have Nicole Moudaber, who has established a notable presence amongst the techno elite. Nicole transforms the title track of the album to an epic 10 minute journey that - dropped at the right moment of the night – will definitely let the magic happen.
Next up we have Wigbert, hailing from Offenbach in Germany and releasing on Dubfire´s Sci+Tec and Carlo Lio´s Rawthentic, who also reworked the title track. Wigbert builds his version around the original strings to create a dense remix that explodes in a monstrous breakdown!
Third on the lineup we have Jewel Kid from Malta, who just recently released a stunning EP on our little label and who delivers the bigroom mix on this package, twisting the original melodies to an apocalyptic dance floor destroyer.
Soma artists Gemini Voice Archive have been a mainstay in Gregor´s DJ-sets for the past year with their distinctive and unique hypnotic sound - another perfect match for this remix package - they picked ”Safehouse“ and boy, did they deliver!
Last but not least is Jonas Thor Gudmundsson aka Ruxpin from Iceland - Gregor has been a fan of his music for the past 15 years and we´re very happy to have him close the EP with his stunning vocal rework of the album´s final track ”Give It All Away“.

As we continue to dig deep and self-isolate from the world we once knew, we are delighted to bring you the next podcast in the series of many for ABS. 

The Fourteenth Addition of Vol. 3 casts a special one from an extremely close, long-time friend, Harrison Saul.

Sydney’s best kept secret and digger supreme, is known for his specialist taste and ever-lasting knowledge when it comes to all things house, minimal and wonky rollers.

Harrison decided to bite the inevitable bullet late last year to form a label of his own alongside childhood friend, Terry Sher, where the two have since titled their project; ‘Thinc’, and sourced a bunch of very exciting artists to kick them off with a podcast series. ‘Thinc’ have also got an extremely exciting release schedule for 2020 where they’ll boast the scene's very best, but we’ll leave that with them to share the exciting news with you all when the time comes. 

Nonetheless, it’s time the world hears an hour of who and what this man truly is.

Literally an hour after Boris announces that we can see the horizon of beautiful messy sticky dark noisy ravesssss, we are putting out our song about longing for the return of that culture! And I swear down this is just a truly wonderful coincidence! But it makes me feel really verrrrry happy. 🤗🤗🤗

The Blessed Madonna and I had a chat on zoom a few months back now and she was talking in the infinite and naturally poetic way that she does about, well really how everrrrrryone is feeling! And because we were writing it was being recorded! So I sampled it! And tuned her to be singing at times and I just reeallllyyy love it. And also an enormous big ups to the great Boston Bun who we produced it with.
