EP title track Arrival is a nasty piece of work with the finniest retro drum patterns, droning sub bass with a minimalist approach. Ragga syle vocals and haunting sounds help to keep the track in shape and will defiantly fit in on the one’s and two’s in any set!

Although no newcomer to the music industry, the last twelve months has seen Freeze breakthrough and make a name for himself. Previously receiving heavy support from BBC Drum & Bass DJs, including the likes of Crissy Criss and D&B pioneer Grooverider who featured ‘Take Control’ as his selected track of the week when taking on his legendary partner in crime Fabio in the Battle of the Rewinds. More recently Rene Lavice of Ram Records premiered his track ‘War Vibes’ on his BBC Radio 1 Drum & Bass show as well as Fabio & Grooverider supporting it on their show on Rinse FM.

Freeze, who originates from Lancashire, has crossed the globe learning his craft as a producer and has a back catalogue of cold releases stacking up, some of which include collaborations with ex Playaz camp member Crystal Clear on his label Cold Blooded Recordings, and with legendary Drum & Bass Label V Recordings, run by two of the scenes original pioneers in Bryan G and Jumping Jack Frost.

Now calling Bournemouth home, 2019 is looking pretty busy for Freeze with lots of new releases on the horizon. Expect to hear the foundations of Jungle/D&B within his music as well as frosty system shattering bass lines aplenty. He continues to grow in stature with big releases forthcoming on various labels across the scene, including the mighty DJ Randall’s  Mac 2 and several releases with the biggest Drum & Bass label the other side of the pond, New York based Liondub International.  To kick things off in 2021 his first release was '1992' on Ram Record’s sister label Program. '1992' has been receiving heavy support on dub by some of the scenes biggest names including Rene La Vice on his Drum & Bass show BBC Radio 1. 
He also has many forthcoming releases in the pipeline including a release on Mac2, a label run by the man dubbed as one of the Godfathers of Drum & Bass and your favourite DJs favourite DJ, DJ Randall. We can also look forward to his huge remix of the massive Jungle classic ‘War For 94’ by Badman (which has been getting lots of support on dub from Rene La Vice on his show) as well as several collaborations with D&B legend Nicky Blackmarket. 

With lots to look forward to from Freeze as he continues to bring his ice cold sounds to dance floors across the globe, we feel this is just the tip of the iceberg as he moves towards the next decade.

Rapidly formed in early 2010 Proximity Recordings has been brought to the stage by a group of like minded individuals who have the means and capabilities to put out high quality dance music at an alarming rate whilst still managing to maintain originality and diversity within every release.
