MUSIC FROM PLANET EARTH: PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE

Young Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, known as 2CELLOS, achieved sensational success by taking the cello to a new level and breaking the boundaries between different genres of music. Their unique cello version of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' took the world by storm. Within only a week, this YouTube video became a huge viral sensation leading to a record deal with Sony Masterworks and an invitation to join Elton John on his worldwide tour. 

Since then, the duo has appeared on major TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show (multiple times), Lopez Tonight, TV Total with Stefan Raab and many others. 2CELLOS recently performed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and are releasing their second album IN2ITION in January 2013. The album was produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Deep Purple) and features an eclectic group of vocal and instrumental guests including Elton John, Steve Vai, Lang Lang, Naya Rivera and Zucherro.

Initially founded in 2002 as an offshoot of the celebrated Knitting Factory club in lower Manhattan, Knitting Factory Records, along with the new Knitting Factory club in Brooklyn, was reborn in 2009 with the acquisition and re-release of the Fela Kuti catalog. KFR also encompasses the catalogs of Instinct Records, Shadow Records, Shimmy Disc, and Evolver Records.

In partnership with Partisan Records, a Brooklyn-based artist-run label, Knitting Factory Records strives to honor the music of an eclectic array of relevant artists drawn from both the past and the present.

Proyecto Verde Limón es una ecléctica propuesta que transitando introspectivas y melancólicas baladas folk, melodías beats y ritmos latinoamericanos en general apela, básicamente, a la sensibilidad, lo intenso y profundo. El gran desafío es justamente que cada canción suene distinta a la otra, intentando no repetir fórmulas, pero dejando un sello personal que las conecte y las haga parte de un todo. 
Daniel Gamallo (guitarra y voz) crea, lidera y sostiene esta propuesta, que se completa en esta primera formación con Gula Santos en percusión, accesorios y coros, Agustín López en guitarras, Pablo Medvedovsky en bajo, Felipe Joffré en batería, Roxana Salcedo en clarinete y la colaboración de Andrés Nizovoy en flautas, y Leonardo Ortolano en armónica.
