Scheme Boy has been a major part of London’s breakcore and electronica scene for many years now. From humble beginnings as co-founder of Adverse Camber (responsible for the now infamous Awesome Power parties) to internationally recognised artist. Since his initial release on Ninja Columbo Records back in 2007, Scheme Boy has always merged his love of melodic, acid tinged electronica with smashed up hardcore and DnB grooves. Never one for sticking to any one style, a Scheme Boy set could take you through a variety of genres, tempos and sonic tapestries whilst never forgetting to keep the groove solid throughout.

Although the back catalogue of his releases would indicate a hardcore/breakcore artist (albeit a melodic one), its in his sets/mixes that you get to see the full spectrum of his sound, which covers IDM, wonky techno, dubstep, jungle, DnB and of course hardcore.

Scheme Boy has appeared on Industrial Strength, Ninja Columbo, Peace Off/Bang-a-Rang, Anticlone, Sustained Records, Nekrolog1k and Adverse Camber.

Before making his name in industrial hardcore, Celsius was a jungle DJ and MC. Born and raised in Switzerland to an English family, he would spend every summer in the UK as a teenager, soaking up the emerging sounds of UK rave, collecting jungle and happy hardcore records, and recording mixtapes from UK pirate radio stations. This was 1992, the year zero for Celsius.

Performing as DJ Celsius as early as 1993, he became one of Switzerland's first jungle DJs, playing and hosting mostly illegal raves in Lausanne – all before the age of 18. Turntablism and MCing soon followed. Celsius' earliest productions featured samples of old hardcore tapes from the UK and the Netherlands. Now, 30 years and several musical identities later, Celsius is circling back to his roots with 1992: a breakbeat rave concept album exploring the the genesis of hardcore, written with '90s analog recording equipment for that genuine time capsule experience. No nostalgia, just pure Ardkore Vibes!

This is the mashup I closed my set with at PRSPCT vs Darkside vs Tiki on November 23rd 2019 at The Black Swan, Bristol. It's a reworking of Björk's Hyperballad & Evol Intent's Middle of the Night. I thought I'd post it up as the set didn't get recorded but a few people have asked me about this mix in particular. Enjoy.
