@rowdiboi_official is becoming well known around Ireland and Europe for his high energy antics as demonstrated by this most recent mix containing a multitude of tracks ranging from old school rave classics to modern hard dance tracks with a nice little DnB finisher 🔨 

He is no stranger in the world of production with a consistent stream of high quality tracks being released so far this year and with an upcoming 4 track EP on the horizon ⭐️

Some of his tracks have even been played in the illustrious @hoer.berlin which is quite an achievement for anyone in the industry 🔥

He is also the cult leader of the infamous @thump.techno and the ever growing @realrotationrecordings , both projects were designed to help boost up and coming artists and to provide them with a stage for growth 💘

Reboot Selecta Series 047 - ROWDIBOI

This week's Local Selection comes with an added twist, as we welcome ROWDIBOI for the 177th edition. The Dublin based DJ, producer and promoter has seen a sharp rise in popularity in a very short period of time. Having gained a heap of momentum through playing shows all across the country.

ROWDIBOI, has engraved his sound into the Irish techno scene with consistent performances, releases, and mixes for the last few years. Showcasing his playful, hard techno, rave focused sound through playing headline shows in Galway, Cork and Limerick. Where he has also appeared across line-ups in Sligo, Waterford and Dublin too, it’s easy to see that his momentum is picking up at a blistering pace.

Boasting impressive track releases on MOTZ, Dusk and Hardest Soft alongside multiple VA contributions and self-releases ROWDIBOI is establishing himself not only as a solid DJ but also as a music producer. 

Finding himself as the curator for his label Real Rotation Recordings and as a junior booker for Dublin club 'The Sound House' too. When you combine all of the above, it is clear that ROWDIBOI lives and breathes music.

The young DJ, Producer, Label Head, and Party Starter Franck is here for a party and he's not messing about. After transitioning into his new techno alias around the beginning of 2021 he has gone on to do great things and put Scottish techno firmly back on the map!

Starting out, he released a slew of self-releases with notable tracks including Dread, Get Down and Magnolia Tool, all racking up hundreds of thousands of streams each. He then collaborated with fellow Scottish producer AISHA to release Helfy Rapid EP, with each track receiving a great response. However, it wasn't until his most recent release that he would be propelled to stardom. Signed to the German outfit R-Label Group, his Hear The Sound EP has taken the techno world by storm. The lead and title track has been played by the biggest DJs in the game including Charlotte de Witte, Shlomo, VTSS, Somewhen, KI/KI, Kobosil and Cera Khin just to name a few. Every one of the four tracks in the EP has taken a spot in Beatports Hard Techno Top 20 with Hear The Sound claiming the number one spot and in its first week, the release amassed a quarter of a million streams across platforms. With his followers multiplying each day, it's safe to say Franck has promoted himself into the big leagues with the potential techno EP of the year.

On top of DJ'ing and Producing, he runs the event series and record label Carouse. Having hosted some of the top DJs in the world and had several releases over the years, Franck has a lot more planned with Carouse in both functions.

The leg work was most certainly completed in 2022 and 2023 looks set to be his breakout year as gigs and festivals around the world are already being booked in! What's next, we will just need to wait and see!

Dublin based DJ and producer, ROWDIBOI, has been engraving his sound into the Irish techno scene with consistent performances, releases, and mixes. With headline shows in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Limerick, it’s easy to see that his momentum is picking up at a fast pace - he has been on support for some European techno royalty including Shlømo, Nico Moreno, Cltx, T78 and Charlie Sparks

With track releases across major cities including cities like Berlin, Paris and London, ROWDIBOI is surely establishing himself as a solid international producer as well. 

He is responsible for the inception of @thump_techno which continues to provide consistent nights of a rowdy nature.

For the next edition of our Local Selection series, we present a recording of ROWDIBOI & DECADANCE’s peak time set at Life Festival 2023. The two Thump founders/residents combine their rave and hard groove influences to create an eclectic, hard-hitting hour of power, featuring fast transitions and chaotic fader throttling throughout.

For the 207th edition of the Local Selection mix, we present a special live recording from Life Festival as Thump residents and co-owners Rowdiboi & Decadance go full throttle on the Index stage. As the sun splits through the sky of Belvedere House in Mullingar, ravers begin to wander into the main arena as they face the final day of raving at Life Festival.

The Thump DJs were sandwiched between District 8 boss Moduse and rising star MELTX, however, the pair held no qualms for the DJs before or after them, as after all it is a festival, and anything goes down. In Mullingar, there are no warmups. Rowdiboi & Decadance rush into a frenzy of swirling hard-edged rhythms, beginning with a contemporary rave classic from Shlomo which sets the tone for a pummeling hour of hasty mixing and no holds barred style track selection, in other words, they played a heap of banging techno.

The mix remains fairly much relentless for the full hour, taking a number of deranged twists & turns, such as the hard techno edit of Calvin Harris ‘I’m Not Alone’ which comes bursting into the set at around 20 minutes and speedying over 150bpm already. The set isn’t all edits and rave stabs, as the pair fire through a number of heads-down locked grooves, from schranz to rumbling hard dance. The tempo’s continues to rise alongside the temperatures at Life Festival, with an assortment of Belgian-influenced weapons and punishing edits such as the menacing refix of ‘Partiboi69 – K On My D+C Feat. Juicy Romance’. The pair close things off at the ferocious speed of 200bpm, confirming their I don’t give a fuck attitude at a pinnacle show for the pair. Banging, to say the very least.
