Multi-instrumentalist Aleesha Dibbs (Dive Bell, Prudence, Lorelei, Double Vision, Mvlholland, Lisa Mitchell, Angus and Julia Stone) debut solo EP Paradise Lost soundtracks a process of transformation and self-actualisation. Contrary to the innumerable, seductive, and feel-good narratives being volleyed at us, Paradise Lost challenges the expectation that change and growth are supposed to feel good.

We make difficult decisions in desperate circumstances, and stride forward with an expectation that small celebrations of hope and agency will hold our hands and carry the weight of the phantom limbs that never leave us.

Produced and engineered by Tom Crandles (Prudence, AuRa, DMA’s) and mixed by Kim Moyes (The Presets) Paradise Lost turns from more algorithmically-engineered honey traps, and instead chooses to stare down the demons that cling to us in spite of our best efforts.


Aleesha Dibbs has performed and toured nationally and internationally alongside, The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Patrick Keeler (Raconteurs & The Greenhornes), Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs & The Greenhornes), The Temper Trap, Angus & Julia Stone, The Preatures, The Jezabels, Lisa Mitchell, Lanie Lane, The Rubens, Clare Bowditch and Georgia Fair and performed at festivals such as; Splendor in the Grass, Falls Festival, Homebake, Peats Ridge, Bochum Festival (Germany) Field Day (UK) Secret Garden Festival (UK).

Dibbs's previous project DIVE BELL has previously captivated audiences from all across the musical spectrum and cementing  themselves in both the local and national scene, with their previous singles having seen support from the likes of FBi Radio and Rage.

I make downtempo, experimental electronica. I've been told that my music is good to do other things to; long walks, road trips and thinking.   I started playing drums with my brother  when we were kids and we always jammed and made music for the moment. I played in bands and jammed with friends and would record all the different sound explorations.   Since I can remember i have been a fan of  with their combination of acoustic and electronic instruments and samples. My workflow is all around sound experimentation and jams that I turn into songs :)   My new 5 track EP  features hypnotic Moog Basslines with acoustic drums and drippy watery synth sounds and electric bass guitar. It is spacious and groovy, yet dark and melancholy and is ready for night drives/walks and introspective times. All instrumental and all recorded and mixed in my little bedroom studio in Lindfield. The EP was named accidentally by my friend who was buying me a Kombucha.   My album  is now out Featuring 11 Songs of instrumental grooves, nostalgia, synthesizers, drum machines and guitars! This is my first full length release! I hope you enjoy. Its an album that you can listen to at anytime, morning or night, up or down. Enjoy!   The Spilled Dirt EP all exists around some interesting Ambient textures kinda like Aphex Twin - someone said it sounded like "IDM made on an IBM".
