These are just a few of the many events that have continued a global trend of senseless violence, societal ineptitude, and a complete misunderstanding of ideologies. Furthered by the aftermath of Brexit, nuclear tensions abroad, and the impending US general election circus, it leaves artists like @JarellPerry to proclaim "The future can't be happening like this…"

Enter 'War & Peace' the debut single from Hex Cougar featuring the vocal / songwriting talents of Jarell Perry, a record that aims to address these themes and expand on them in ways rarely explored in contemporary music. From the ominous, loose atmosphere of its introduction, to Jarell's vocals over military drums, and the cinematic crescendo, 'War & Peace' tries to encapsulate the emotional dichotomy of today's world.

Let us introduce to you the talent of PHI NIX, as she’s knocked us off our feet with a hazy yet powerful ballad in “Loyal”. The songstress’s velvety vocals topple over strong trip hop infused beats, drawing us into a rich whirlwind of synthetic and organic frequencies. 

"The song in my opinion is a mixture between electronic-music, triphop and pop. Using a lot of real, organic instruments. A fun fact is that a lot of the percussion samples are recorded in our house. The message of this particular song is a strong love song that could be interpreted in multiple ways (this is how I like to write), for instance our love and loyalty for the world, the way we are taking it for granted at this very moment. But it also tells a story about the love between two people. 
I would like to introduce a new, more atmospheric sound into the electronic music we hear on the radio now a days. Personally I am a big fan of melancholy, nostalgia and a good storyline to a song. This is what I'm aiming for in my own music."
