Mark Fanciulli is deep in the midst of a seemingly endless production hot-streak. His prolific summer, which shows no sign of easing up, continues with a superb new release for Dennis Ferrer’s Objektivity imprint.

“The Fall” is a wonderfully unique concoction of groovy tech house with a distinct UK garage slant. Perfectly encapsulating the modern climate of electronic music, the track takes influence from various underground scenes and creates something all of its own. Melodic basslines merge with snapping rhythms, warm synths and a catchy vocal hook to create a versatile party tune that comes with bags of personality.

Phil Weeks frenetic remix locks into some tightly woven and relentlessly oscillating rhythm structures to spin the original out into another completely different dimension. Nasser Baker’s bassline-led rework shifts the attention to the bottom end with a superbly crafted house strut.

FHUO's sophomore EP moves from a quartet format to a split EP between the bossman and the Paris-based Parviz, who makes his vinyl debut on the release. The record starts off with Folamour's "Very First Touch". A live clap and crowd sample opens the doors for a hazy build of  pads and jazz licks to come through. Parviz then makes his appearance via "100 Crown Bills" a more up-tempo house track that places groovy piano and guitar riffs and a mean flute over a bouncy bass and drum kit. On the B-Side, Parviz' "L'Estaque" lays some buttery jazz-funk loops down over another dancefloor-oriented beat. Finally, serving as the bottom layer of this EP's Folamour-Parviz sandwich is our premiere track, "Alerte à Babylone". More info on : http://bit.ly/2hqN43V

'Hiccup' is a dainty and soft house cut that showcases luscious pads, trickling percussion and a groove that's going to cure any NYE hangovers. Reminiscent of Lobster Theremin's Route 8 but also telling that Theremin will be doing the vinyl distribution for Valby Rotary this year.

We've got high hopes for Valby in 2017 and you should do to. What better way to delve back into music this year than with an outfit starting a musical journey of their own. Happy new year.

Kicking things off with a release from Chaos In The CBD, ‘Accidental Meetings’ is a record that celebrates this way of living. The four cuts effortlessly move you through a journey of delicate textures and atmospheres. This time he's on remix duty for the latest piece of wax from Kyoku featuring Irish act Long Island Sound. '' Last Place You Look (Loz Goddard Remix)'' is a stellar cut filled with a warm bass-line, subtle drum kit and delicates melodies.
