Long Island Sound has quietly evolved into one of underground electronic music’s most consistent and emotionally resonant duos. Built on over a decade of friendship and creative collaboration, their widescreen take on dance music has been supported by the likes of BBC Radio 1, Resident Advisor & Bicep. 

Following the release of their acclaimed 2024 album HYDRA and a standout run of live shows across Europe - including headline sets across London, Prague, Dublin - Rob Roche and Tim Nolan are using their label, Signs of Space, to present a more direct vision of their sound. Striking a balance between the melodic and the muscular, the emotive and the explosive, it is club music with a narrative edge - built for headphones, main stages, and everything in between.

But Long Island Sound has always been more than just a musical outlet. It's a shared language, a constant thread through years of change - moving cities, navigating life, and growing together. The back catalogue feels like a diary of their friendship, each release capturing a moment in time. From the artwork to the events, to the music itself, every part of the project has been shaped by their hands. Baltra crafts music that lives between heartbreak and healing — tender, rhythmic, and cinematic. Through his label 96 & Forever Records, he continues to define post-club romanticism, with his latest single “Lost” (out now) opening a deeply personal new chapter. The track itself is an underground house roller that blends a driving 4x4 groove, wobbling LFO bass that nods to UKG energy, and Baltra’s signature dreamy textures.

Baltra’s music captures the aching tenderness of the dancefloor — nostalgia, resilience, and love bleeding into one. Born from the lo-fi underground out of New York City and raised on the global dancefloor, he’s evolved into one of electronic music’s most expressive voices, known for tracks that balance melancholy, intimacy, and rhythm. 

From early anthems that defined an era of hazy, analog house — including his viral hit "Never Let Go (Of Me)" — to his recent explorations in texture and songwriting, Baltra has become a leading voice in what could be described as post-club romanticism — the feeling that lingers long after the lights come on. Through his label 96 & Forever Records, he’s built a home for this vision: a space where love, loss, and self-reflection can exist in the form of emotionally-charged club music.

His forthcoming EP “In the Afterglow” lands on December 9th, led by the single “Lost”, out now on his aforementioned imprint. The lead track captures the full emotional range of his sound — deep, propulsive, and cinematic — signaling a new era of expressive, floor-focused production.
