Ironically the people this piece is inspired by will never hear it because, of course, they're far too busy to push play. :) The religious community has its share of holier-than-thou, self-righteous hypocrites, but the secular set has its own version of puffed-up self-importance as well: the busier-than-thou folks. You know the type, traveling on a 1-way road fueled by superego. You do for them and even do it again and again, but mostly they're too busy to spare you a moment claiming they can't find the time when, as we all know, they'll easily make time for what matters to them (video games, tweeting and texting ad infinitum). Always *implied* when you're told "I know you did but sorry, I haven't got time to reciprocate" are: "You just don't matter that much," and "How lucky you're idle enough to find time for me"—your courtesy and effort taken for granted and brushed off with the same lame excuse of "super-industry" as they slap you on both cheeks at once. How cheeky of them!

Well, a musical influence here, Steely Dan's "Pretzel Logic" asks, "Where did you get those shoes?" B-t-t Blues responds, if the sneaker fits, make like Nike and just do it! IN THE MUSIC WORLD, THE SIGNED MUSICIAN  TENDS TO BE OF THE SHALLOW, SUPERFICIAL, VARIETY, CHURNING OUT PREDICTABLE GARBAGE, SUSTAINED BY MEDIA HYPE,  AND AN ABUNDANCE OF VILE ROCK STAR-STYLE POSTURING!

IT IS TO THE DETRIMENT OF ALL UNSIGNED MUSICIANS THAT DON'T FALL INTO THE WANNABE CATEGORY, THAT THE VAST MAJORITY ARE DUPED BY THE AURA OF FAME, SO INTOXICATED BY IMAGE AND HYPE, 

THAT THEY DON'T SEE THESE CELEBRITIES FOR THE CRETINS THEY REALLY ARE; THAT THE TUNES THEY CHURN OUT ARE DEVOID OF PERSONALITY AND CREATIVITY!

WORTHLESS, DISPOSABLE AND PREDICTABLE, SUCH TUNES SHOULD BE CONSIGNED TO THE DUSTBIN; INSTEAD, THEY BECOME AN EMBARRASSING PART OF MANKIND'S HISTORY!

FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL LOOK BACK ON THESE TIMES AS THE CREATIVE ERA THAT REACHED AN ALL TIME LOW, WHEN THE PUBLIC WAS SPOON FED ALL THINGS SUPERFICIAL, TACKY AND CRASS, AND LAPPED IT UP WILLINGLY!

BECAUSE CRASS IS KING, EXCEPTIONALLY GIFTED UNSIGNED ARTISTS WILL NEVER ESCAPE OBSCURITY! IN A JUST WORLD, IT WOULD BE SO-CALLED CELEBRITIES WHO ARE CONSIGNED TO OBLIVION, BUT THIS IS NOT A JUST WORLD!

SO-CALLED CELEBRITIES ARE THE MORTAL ENEMY OF UNSIGNED ARTISTS; IF YOU ARE A PARTY TO FEATHERING THEIR NESTS, FEEDING THE MYTH THAT THEY ACTUALLY HAVE THE KIND OF TALENT WORTHY OF SUCH PRAISE AND ADULATION, YOU ARE HAMMERING NAILS INTO YOUR OWN COFFIN!

Finally come to terms with the fact that I'm PLAYING TO AN AUDIENCE OF ONE, and even I have to FORCE myself to listen!!!
