The twenty-eighth release from Chilean label Halcxn is led by Chilean DJ and producer Kamila Govorčin, currently based in Croatia. On this occasion, she presents a body of work centered on ambient music: an eight-track album conceived and experienced as a continuous sonic journey from beginning to end. The album stands out for its narrative coherence, giving meaning to each moment through the thoughtful use of synthesizers, breaks, vocals, and silence.

In the artist’s own words:

“After a long night, at dawn, the dew appears — a gentle gift from the sky. In alchemical practices, dew is collected because it is associated with the universal spirit; a substance that can dissolve, transmute, and regenerate. The base of an elixir. This idea inspired me to create Rocío, a full-length album I began working on a year ago to present at an event by Osvaldo Sotomayor, and which I finally completed in Rijeka, Croatia. Over the course of 48 continuous minutes, elements of ambient, breaks, downtempo, acid, and trip hop are combined, creating a sonic journey that is reminiscent, hypnotic, warm, and fluid.”

"CONSTANT" is an self-released debut EP with hard drone sounds, disorienting melodies, and vocal samples wrapped around 172BPM boundary. That was a pretty nice experience to push out something that undercooked, especially when mostly working with analogue synthesizers, some really simple samples, field recordings and arranging everything on the spot.

This time we're very happy to announce that our big friend Mark aka MVRK is back on Delta9 Recordings with a 2 tunes single together with a super sick remix of the mighty Black Barrel!

The title track ‘Clip That’ is your entree, a record which pulls you through its core and leaves you unsteady as it slowly builds into an almighty breakdown. However it’s the type of introduction which becomes more and more encompassing with every layer, as growling sounds sit onto of a thickly lined fast composition.

The B side ‘Blunder’ comes next, accurately crafted with soft breaks and thumping levels of bass-heavy excursion, the tune is ripping its way through the mix exploring a futuristic sound and melodies.

‘Illumination’, remixed by Black Barrel, is another offering in the release which bring at the listeners in a more hard hitting roller which unload tons of power throught the system. The street atmosphere which gradually draw you into its eventual drop grab you unaware, as you become gradually submerged under its power.
