Memory Remains boss Kirik joins forces with Miami’s Imbue for their collaborative ‘On Distance’ EP

This time Kirik pairs up with the Miami-based trio Imbue who add their dynamic instrumentation to the project through guitars, piano, and synthesizer improvisation.

Opening the release is the jazzy funk-infused ‘On Distance’, laid out across seven minutes with an amalgamation of guitar licks and looped hooks alongside plucked bass tones, strings and organic rhythms combined to create a psychedelia-tinged twist on House. ‘All Right’ follows next and shifts gear into a more classic house feel, employing Latin percussion and wandering keys alongside guitar melodies and soulful vocal chants.

Opening the flip-side is ‘Lovers’ with its acid bass groove, intricately intertwined synth stab sequences and crisp drums all underpinned by Imbue’s hypnotic musicality. ‘Son Us On’ then rounds out the release, diving deeper into the House courtesy of bumpy low-slung drums, airy synth chimes and plucked guitars merged with an underlying dubbed-out and subtly unfurling feel. early support by Massimiliano Pagliara, Archie Hamilton, youANDme, DJ Heather, Moskalus, Jean Pierre, Red Pig Flower, Red Rack'Em, Just Her, Michel De Hey and many more...

Psionic begins an exciting new phase with Anthea and Oshana co-running and curating the label together. Their first signing, N-Gynn, delivers the "Delirium" EP, a two-track masterpiece of underground rave.  Delirium is a hypnotic journey into the night, while "El Electro" offers a nostalgic electro experience with intricate beats. These songs showcase the high-quality sounds Psionic and N-Gynn are known for and this EP when played will elevate a party to new heights.

PILLZ returns, and this time they call on another artist who has been creating some of the standout music in recent times, Stefano Andriezzi. The Argentinian has been in fine form in recent times, serving up some of the essential bombs for djs, and his exploration on PILLZ lives up to the high standard. “Elektronico” is presented as four innovative cuts, moving between distinctive interpretations of an array of underground moods. 

Up top we have the title track “Elektronico”, sophisticated club sounds for trained ears, elevating the direction of the floor. A hip house vocal teases the track as it boasts uplifting chords, and crisp drum patterns. “Raves Weekend” packs exactly the punch you would expect, a heads down affair shifting into fifth gear. A dynamite exploration using lively rave stabs, and a killer elastic groove. As we move to the B side “Computer” shows exactly why Stefano has received the acclaim of recent times. Pumping peak time movements from the blossoming producer, enormous drums and drive throughout. Last but certainly not least is “Get Fanki”, brimming with spaced out energy, consistently lifting as the track continues to progressive. Laced with deep and shimmering synths for the closing action of the EP. 

PILLZ again provided a platform for some of the most prolific new talent on the circuit with Stefano Andriezzi striking hotter than hot once more!
