Closing Set @ Elements Festival 2021 (ft. Axon)

Iboga Records has been a constant influence on my musical taste, ever since I started raving a long time ago. 
 
Back then, the lineups would often include iboga artists like Alhad, Banel, Beat Bizarre, Emok, Llopis and Oliver aka Reefer Decree. 

Later on I would become friends with some of these guys, who turned out to be easy going and down to earth, even though they're all superstars. 

Now I'm officially part of the family as a label DJ, which is my greatest achievement, and I'm deeply honored to have received this recognition.

To celebrate this i recorded a new dj mix with classics from the Iboga archive.
Unlike the previous that were centered around the early days, this selection is focusing on the years from 2007 to 2017. 
And this time I also wanted to include as many names as possible, without exceeding two hours of playtime, so the tracklist is mostly remixes and collaborations. 

To keep it fresh, I included some unreleased and alternative versions, you might haven't heard before..:

-We have Vini Vici's Om, which is an early version of the track Namaste. 
Biggest difference is in the first break, with additional vocals. 
 
-There's an alternate club mix of Zen Mechanics and Ace Ventura's Mind=God, remixed by FREq. 
It has some slight differences like a shorter main break, and some less dominant percussions etc. 

-Also included is a rare unreleased banger called BLASTBOYZ. 
It's a huge collab by Emok, Gaudium, Martin Vice & Ticon

AlpaKa MuziK is thrilled to present this incredible mix by Mauritian label DJ, XAENOMORPH, who has just finished compiling one of AlpaKa's biggest compilations: SAYETECH, Vol. 1. This mix features many fresh tunes from the compilation, alongside other masterful productions.  Welcome to the sonic realm of Xænomørph, the creation of Thierry Lily from Mauritius Island. Born in the 90s, Thierry's passion for music was evident from an early age. As a teenager, he fell in love with electronic music, especially Deep House, but discovering Psytrance in 2017 truly ignited his musical journey.  Now known as Xænomørph, Thierry blends Psytech, Zenonesque, Dark Progressive, and Forest Progressive in his electrifying sets. His talent has earned him performances at Groove&Bass Renegade Festival, Soundwave Festival, and Era Festival, as well as a position as a label DJ with AlpaKa MuziK. Here's to Xænomørph, an artist who turned his dreams into a symphony!

Listener is the psytrance project of Dean Claassens. After being introduced to his first outdoor festival in 2012, the bug bit and he tried to attend as many festivals as possible. After having a profound experience in 2013, the seed of playing psytrance music for others had been planted. Being ever inquisitive, Dean had spent many years teaching himself the theory of DJing before finally purchasing his equipment and teaching himself practically.

Listener is very much led by melody, believing it to be the fundamental character in which a musical journey can be created. He believes in creating flow in music to hold a space so that those present can feel safe to evolve within themselves and to receive what they need at the time.

Listener debuted at Summer Camp in November 2021 to emphatic positive feedback and has played at every Summer Camp festival since. He joined the Psy-Kick Tuesdays radio show, aired on Mutha-FM. Hosted by @gryphon-x, Listener became a monthly resident on the line-up until the show ended in October 2023. He has also been asked to play at festivals in the Garden Route of the Western Cape, including ECHO Gatherings and Community. In Cape Town, Listener will be found on many Hidden Leaf Festival line-ups.
