Early work includes Self titled drum and bass album under the guise of Resonant Frequency which earned him a 1st as the main component of his final year thesis in Music Technology. This was followed by dub and house explorations under the pseudonym FRAKTAL. simultaneously acoustic collaborations with Jen Hingley eventually evolved into the band False Advertising.

Most notable production includes The Orielles who have now signed to Heavenly records. "Entity", "Space Doubt", "Jobin" and all related B sides where recorded, mixed and mastered by Chris. During this time much of Manchester's underground indie scene graced Chris's mixing desk.
