The context for this one isn't all too out of the ordinary, rather than the ominous rumblings of a theme slowed down beyond recognition, this theme would play during his hopeful monologue trying to convince you to stop what you're doing, trying to convince you that you don't have to continue down this dark path and that anyone can change if they just try.

Today's song was my own input, a non-canon, for-fun hypothetical battle theme for Lesley, the climbing tour guide of Mt. Atjen Climbing. This may technically break the rule about no mainstay projects, but considering this is 100% non-canon--and since this specifically has shown up on past Music Poll forms--I figured this one was fair game. (Besides, I make the rules here.)

This hypothetical would pick up where the Merciless Route of The Old Switcheroo ends. Whether or not there IS a way to make it back to the surface, without anyone's soul ripe for the taking to cross over, Kris certainly had to struggle to push through on their own.

Lesley, much like in other routes, has made it her top priority to keep an eye on Mt. Atjen should Kris one day return. Unfortunately for her, they made it out. As if forcing them to kill everyone wasn't bad enough, abandoning them at the end, leaving them to find their own way out, has left them even more unstable, so much so that they can't even recognize the person they lunge at.

All of a sudden, you start hearing strange noises coming from the room's upper vents

- Was there another intruder none of us knew about? | >

More noises come from the ceiling of the room, they seem to be approaching this very room.

- Oh, I see._
- Well, If it's a confrontation you want, I will deliver right to you | >

Before you can prepare yourself further, the vent's lid SMASHES open, revealing the culprit behind all the noise: A... rather fluffy white dog.
It takes a second before it even notices Starman Junior. Its eyes grow wide.

- What even are you? | >

Seemingly not even paying attention to what they even said, the dog suddenly begins vibrating into Junior's direction and latches onto their left leg, munching at it playfully.
It seemingly thinks the Starman is just a big bone!

- What- what are you even..?! | >
- Unhand me, you...! | >
- ... ! | >
- Oh, do I not have time for these childish antics. | >
- I suppose there is no other option..._

Starman Junior flees using the same flash of light you've seen before, leaving the dog to fall to the ground... as well as his cape, which seemingly was left behind in the hurry. It gently falls upon the dog
The base's energy cuts off as it begins to fill back up with the natural light of the environment, with the darkness it once had disappearing with the entities that were there. The previously closed doors open back up again.

The dog pokes his head on the hole of the cape. His barks seem to show he likes his new outfit!

... It then finally notices you're in the room as well.

It quickly runs away.

Without anywhere else to do here, you do the same thing, leaving the base.
