The aim of the label is to release the finest: Minimal Synth | Coldwave | Minimal Wave | Synthpop and Post-Punk, old and new. We also hope to promote and organise live events in the near future. Peripheral Minimal releases will be mainly in the 'analogue' formats of tape and vinyl, as an artistic and visual aesthetic is also of prime importance to the music therein. We will also carry carefully selected distributed items from various labels.

The Psychogeographical Commission was formed at the start of 2008 to explore the many interfaces between the built environment and the people who inhabit it through dérive, magick and sonic experimentation.
After a great deal of time wandering the back streets of London and other large cities looking for the spirits which now dwell within them, we came to the conclusion that the psychological make-up of cities is now at odds with the populations inherent rural based mythology. People aren't evolving to cope with cities fast enough to keep up with the constantly shifting cityscape. 
To start approaching a remedy for this we set about creating music which blurs the line between the real and imagined landscapes in order to allow individuals to revaluate their own mythologies and provide new ideas to bring them closer to harmony with their urban surroundings.

Pronounced ecks emporium. A variety of current or now defunct projects by Paul David Harrison. PDH is an omniundisciplinary sound autist playing with noise, images, fantasy & obsession in the fertile Elysian fields of his own consciousness and the wider imaginary realms. Collaborative work also featured and a Smell & Quim 'Medley' made up of bits from "Go Down For The Gravy", which was released on Fiend Recordings - the CDR & cassette label PDH used to run with partner Candi Nook (http://soundcloud.com/candi-nook). Over the years (from the early/mid 1990s to early/mid 2000s) 50 tapes & 100 CDs (plus a few extra 'Special Release' CDs, a couple of lathe-cut vinyl LPs, 3 video cassettes & a 'Non-Existent LP' !) were released.
PDH & CN were part of the mid to late 90s incarnation of Smell & Quim - hence the inclusion of the 'Medley' here.
