This year was again challenging for all of us and with baby steps I think the pandemic will end shortly. One of the saddest things that happened lately was the fact that on Mother's Day I couldn't be close to my mom and grandmother and couldn't offer them flowers as I usually do. This track was made with my mom, grandmother and aunt (yes big family) in my mind. So this is for you darlings and thank you for everything.

It was originally exactly 3:00 long in homage to the film. Upon listening to it after Fabris showed it to him.

Blind Side

From the live houses of the Jing to busking in tunnels (Granted, the 33.3% donation rate was based on the fact that he had removed his stifling white collar shirt and was dancing bare chested) in Singapore, Psychedelic Revolution (aka Psyche Rev) is a one man project that likes most things such as alt r&b and alt rock. Made it as a semi finalist in 'Song of the Year' competition in 2022 with his song 'Cassius.' Finalist in 2023 with 'We'll Go Down.' Finalist in 2024 with 'Sigh' and also taking semi finalist positions with 'Heartbeats & Inner Turmoil' and 'You Had Me'. Finalist in 2025 with 'Cold Cold Storm' and semi finalist with 'So Typical.' Tastes like Kung Pao Chicken. Looks like a cross between Brag Pitt and Heath Leather. Smells like team spirit. Feels like baby powder. Oh the music. Yeah, it sounds good.

Daily Musing:
Yeah. 4th year in a row. Happy about it. Happy that I wasn't awarded anything in 'rock' again.  4 months left to still compete. It's been an honour to play for you all as usual. 

October: I think I'm gonna do a chill hop/jazz hop thing with Coltrane changes. Done a instrumental before but never done a vocal jazz hop thing.
It's going well. Pretty exhausting because of how much brain power is used to decide what scale to play over the Coltrane changes. Easily the most 'jazziest' thing I've ever done. Tho it's hip hop. So when it comes time to explain the song I've forgotten about half the scales I'm using. Will probably be out end of the month. I've been thinking that I want to do a 'How to Train Your Dragon' theme. I've really only seen the third one and the live action version (the recent) but they moved me. Multiple times. I was with my friends and I took off my 3D glasses. Started wiping my eyes. Look to the right and everyone else is just fine.
Which reminds me of when I was in the band in uni and my Indian friend/guitarist started teasing me about crying in Titanic. 
"I was 6! Motherfucker you cried in Lagaan!"
Then he started chasing me around. Cos' that's what guys do when they like each other. 
 Which I guess also says something about how the filmmakers handled No Time to Die. 
So maybe like medieval rnb. Worked for Seal.
The only low for this year has been working with the label. They are called Raw Doggy Records. I contacted them saying I know you guys do electronic but I don't. They did like my music. Were gonna release stuff. Then they heard the mix for 'Heartbeats' and wanted me to remix some songs. I said, "that costs money." Then, I changed my mind and still got that mixer to mix the old songs. 3 of em' and then the label said, "to be honest, we prefer the older mixes." They were taking 2 weeks to reply to my emails aaand not so much as a "sorry we made you pay all that money for...nothing." So I said, "to be honest, I prefer the new mixes" which is a polite way of saying "go fuck yourself." And, that was that. They seemed to have gotten the msg. If you check out the artists on their roster all I can say is, "it's not my cuppa tea" I prefer electronic music like Daft Punk/Kavinsky/Infected Mushroom etc. The good news is that I wasn't particularly down about it.
Regarding Bharat, he's really the first person who believed in me as a singer so I owe him that much (or quite a lot). It meant and still means a lot to me because i consider him the best guitarist I've heard. I've heard Fripp, Slash, Petrucci, Laiho, and attended a Hendrix tribute with Eric Johnson, Satriani, Vai etc. He only practised 4 hours a day after school by ear. I could do that for the rest of my life and get to 1/5 as good as him.  It began in Florence and there was this kid from Jersey called Alex who was a somewhat decent singer and a good pianist. He was better than me at the time at singing.  I give Bharat an A- as a band leader cos' he was very patient with Rauf, our friend and bassist who barely practised. With me, he was encouraging. So, I think they thought they could fit Alex and me in the band together. I had no problem with that. Now Alex had an interesting take on songwriting which was to bring pop into whatever genre. So if it was rock he liked Spin Doctors. Now, don't get me wrong, I like 'MMMbop' by Hanson every now and then but in a band, playing that type of stuff? No. Bharat and I were on the same page. He liked his metal, hard rock. So, Alex would sing whenever I sung. Or make noises cos' he was the better singer. Zero band etiquette but...I can see where he's coming from. Bharat did nothing about that which is where the A- comes in. So, I got fed up with Alex acting like a child and walked out of rehearsal. My goal was to find the nearest American for inspiration. This was when I was in NY. I ran into a marine near a bar after 30 secs. I said, "Look we're in a band and we wanna play hard rock but there's this kid that keeps singing whenever I sing..."
*inspirational moment right here*
"ah fuck it. what am I saying? I'm gonna go back in there and kick his ass...musically."
"Sounds good man."
"Thanks for serving the country!"
So that was what happened and I walked in there danced and sung. Alex got all red in the face. And, that was the last time we had band practise together. I actually wasn't that confident back then and it was the first time singing for a band. Now, I would say to Bharat,
"hey, can you tell your friend to stfu when I'm singing?"

As far as my middle school 'friends' go, well I'm really a huge fan of that guy one who went through his ex's phone, cried on a date, and then hacked her when she broke up with him. 
I'm also really a huge fan of the guy who kicked his ex.
I'm also a huge fan of the guy who got his head shoved down the toilet and claimed 'PTSD.' 
Soldiers who've served in Iraq and Afghanistan: Really? Would he like to go on tour with us?
I think he'd die of super PTSD before the plane takes flight so I can answer for him.
