We start our 2021 with an one of the all time greats, a man who has done so much to shape our subculture as we know it today, give it up for BEN CODA !! 

Almost over a decade of treating the world to his forward thinking sounds, Ben Coda has established himself as one of the finest, most consistent producers in the electronic dance music world. His distinct progressive, psychedelic productions makes him one of the scenes first innovators of the sonic concepts SixthSense Australia pushes today. His lumpy baselines, weaving psychedelic synths and traces of his upbringing in the UK Drum & Bass movement combine to make dance floors the world over heave as they are enlightened by this tripped out form of techno. 

There is not much this man hasn't done. Dominating big festival sets the world over with his energetic sets, whilst releasing ground breaking tuna through different aliases on some of our favourite labels. It's safe to say that Ben Coda has built a legacy that will inspire generations to carry forth the good message of progressive, psychedelic techno. 

We are honoured to be presenting you this specially curated SixthSense SoundCast, filled with exclusive Ben Coda material for our ears.

About this set:

"It's difficult to find the words to describe the things I felt and experienced at Elements 2020. Undoubtedly, it was one of the most energetically intense gatherings I've ever been to. Extreme togetherness after extreme isolation; an event so close to the heart yet so adverse to the global current affairs; incredible music on monstrous sound systems; the heat; hugging friends; losing a brother; yoga in the dirt; lack of sleep; raising the vibrations; wondering why the fuck we were so fortunate to do this; worried about the state of the world; hopeful for the future...

After four full days at the festival, at 1am on the last night I took to the main stage. I did my best to understand the culmination of these energies and emotions and bring closure to the event, inspiration and warmth to the people, through the music, without the confines of genre.

Thank you so much to everyone who facilitated this event and poured their sweat and blood into it (you know who you are) and everyone who danced until their feet hurt all weekend (you know who you are too).

I'm still processing that weekend. It will take some time. In the meantime, here is the recording of my performance to close the festival. Listen closely, close your eyes, or dance, or both. I look forward to seeing you soon." ♥ :)

We return to the SoundCast story with another epic artist. An artist that blurs the boundary lines as we mere mortals perceive them. An artist that showcases the weird, whacky, leftfield and the untouched. This week we give you the Israeli powerhouse psychedelic techno maestro - IsoQuant. 

"I don’t understand the process of imagination—though I know that I am very much at its mercy". Yotam Oren aka IsoQuant has been a name lurking in the background for a while now. His releases on Digital Structures and Techgnosis Records have always caught our ear with the distinct GRIT through his sound delivery. Expect analog fuelled textures, sound fx, baselines and all round warmth.  

This IsoQuant Manifesto is one of the most unique and different sets we've received and delivered since our inception as a brand. This type of RARE, no nonsense, psychedelic minimal tekkaz is something we yearn for as it inspires our Sixth Sense through its raw sonic vibes. We urge you to whack this on in your car, pop these in your headphones and go for a big walk or an adventurous road trip (get your flashiest rave shoes on, cos safety third !! ). Let your imagination take you for a spin as the IsoQuant soundwaves manipulates your neurotransmitters ;)

As Australian pleasure seekers, we are extremely fortunate to be blessed with our festival scene as colourful and vibrant as it is. We get to doof in landscapes that vary from low plateau deserts to rangelands through to rainforests. We are surrounded by fauna made up of unique creatures that embody our true native spirit. We are also extremely lucky to be exposed to our underground dance music producers, who are cut from a different cloth as well. One genius in particular brings the true essence of Australia to life, through mind blowing sound design and exquisite composition. The one and only - DOPPEL. 

This weeks premiere  'Shroud Of Sepia' just slots itself into the class above. A journey that induces visuals of old sepia photographs of flooded gum trees breathing, with vibrant colours and psychedelic grains moving with the sonic winds. A simple, yet powerful work of art by the Aussie maestro, we consider this to be Doppel's magnum opus. A track that will send goose pimples down your spine, whether you be dancing under the rain or under the shades of the eucalyptus trees, sun kissed by our famous golden sunset. 

This premiere is made more special by the collaboration with Open Records, a platform that has done extraordinary things to create and shape a sub-genre, the signature Aussie "bush techno" sound.

How big is THIS !! Fabio Leal, one of the pillars of Zenon Records, graces our SixthSense soundwaves this week. 

A veteran in the international festival scene, Fabio continues his work of planting seeds where there is a need for new energies to flourish. 

Since the beginning of his career, he has put all his efforts into creating a very specific identity for his work, which has resulted in quality, powerful sets with 100% originality. 

Fabio's sets contain fresh material played with impeccable mixing techniques, over a complex equipment setup, which allows him to go deeper into his own interpretation of the psychedelic sound. 

After years of insisting in this formula, he began to reap the rewards. Invitations presented themselves to play at some of the world's biggest festivals, a dream come true for any artist in our game. Not long after, Zenon Records and DM7 came knocking on his door. 

This set is a blend of hard hitting 4x4 music. Expect some rowdy as fuck techno mixed in with some of the exotic Zenon Records bush prog selections.
