Jed's love for twisted audio frequencies has been nurtured and fed through countless days of dirt peddling on some of Australia's vibrant dance-floors. This kind of intense passion led him to dive deep into the abyss of our subculture.

Since early 2018, our rave addict has helped curate some of Melbourne's raunchiest underground parties, supported some of the biggest international and local names in our scene and has been clocking in the studio hours recently, with a few releases coming out this year.

Being one of the hidden gems in the vibrant city of Melbourne, Tom has gradually earnt his stripes in the local scene through his masterfully detailed productions that leave our senses in a state of bliss.

Tom's style weaves through progressive melodic soundscapes and punchy, minimal chuggers. This dude has really been levelling up over the last 12 months, which has brought about him creating a style of techno very unique to Tom Baker.

Music is a passion dominating everything else in life. For those driven by it, it comprehends beauty, fulfilment and commitment. To be lost in sound and being part of it, be it as a raver or a producer, is a transcendental experience letting you grow into to new levels of sensitivity. Feeling that vibe, sharing it with wider audiences and experiencing an emotional drive together can be addictive, even a turning point in life always to be remembered.
Adamson knows that quite well. Starting as a raver during the golden days of Techno, he soon felt the urge to not only consume, but to share.
Starting as DJ and producer simultaneously in 2001, he understood the art of transferring his experiences as passionate dancer into sounds and arrangements instinctively. The need for beauty in sound combined with a driving but sensual bass drum builds the core of his production skills, while as a DJ he combines deep bass driven tracks with more melodic atmospheres and unusual elements to sophisticated uniqueness..
As a member of the well-known Psy-Techno Duo Alic, he soon gained a widespread reputation within the Psychedelic Techno scene, which lead him to audiences all over the world, including the Americas, New Zealand and of course Europe.

In comparison to his activities with Alic, Adamson explores with this side project other styles of electronic music, an intense journey that leads him into the realms of (Chameleon) Techno. But still, he remains confident to his curriculum and manages to spice up sets of clean beats with funky, sexy elements, always aware of his roots and the needs of a dedicated dancer.
Using the alias Adamson he publishes music on the well-known label Digital Diamonds, based in Berlin but reaching out to the whole planet. Gaining much attention for his skills as producer and DJ, he soon multiplied bookings that again drove him around the globe, performing in South America as well as at Afrika Burn and Burning Man.
Adamson lives music as a passion and transfers this state of mind into tracks as well as DJ sets. On stage, he is a performer knowing how to drive an audience, how to transfer desire not only in music, but also in actions and movement. A born performer. Today, Adamson is an explorer, in terms of music. Always interested in new sounds and techniques, he loves diving into the seas of possibilities, going deep to the ground to discover sounds that he knows to shape into diamonds when he emerges.

Spintribe is the collab of two experienced electronic engineers Igor and Andrew. Both of them have many years of experience and work in other musical projects since the early 2000s. Project developers have positioned their creativity as a mixture of progressive house lysergic lounge and permanently engrave the sound, turning hypnotic sound landscapes around the pulsating bass.
When forming the concept of Spintribe, Andrew and Igor are aiming to create music that would be experimental and intuitive at the same time. They have always wanted to bring in their music everything what lacked in dance music abundance in the early 2000s, but then it all disappeared in the race for design and loudness.
Spintribe, according to the creators, is an attempt to fill the musical void. The uniqueness of Spintribe's music lies in its universality, deep content, their own signature sound and its  aesthetics. Spintribe gives the listener the opportunity to choose an emotional reaction from dance inside themselves to desire to reside in this state with someone else.
English labels JOOF and Mistique, being the cradle of underground, for a long time remained faithful to his musical traditions, had their recognizable sound and continued to produce progressive with a certain stylistic nuance. In the process of working on the first release in 2013 year Andrew and Igor had no doubt where to be released. Under the auspices of JOOF and Mistique was released several successful mini albums and remixes that have received public support of such iconic representatives of the electronic scene like Paul Oakenfold, Marcus Shultz, Solarstone, John Fleming, Michael & Levan, Stiven Rivic, Airwave.3/13
By 2016 the music personality came to the fore, the sound of the project became more recognizable, and technical and informative level of tracks rised. Against the background of quality changes in sound, Andrew and Igor begin to cooperate with the Serbian Tesseract studio supported by Nikola Kozic Zyce, mixing the main progressive label’s content with the new works up to 2018.
In the last years Spintribe music has been transformed into the modern progtech style. Currently there are several releases on BASSIC Records and Digital Diamonds.

Acid Flowers EP is the debut release by the German co-founder of Digital Diamonds and one half of Alic, Piece Of Acid. The driving concept behind the project is based on Roland’s renowned bass synthesizer from the ’80s, called the TB-303, after its unique sound and warm timbre. This gives the EP a retro, acid techno vibe complemented by analog sounds and clear-cut production. However, there’s a refreshing visionary, psychedelic approach in the textures and sound design, using insect-like and glitch effects. On top of that, it has ear-catching ideas that make the tracks not only dance floor gems but well-composed songs. We foresee a promising future for this budding project.

Finally, we play host to one of our biggest inspirations - Ben Rama. 

This weeks SoundCast guest needs little introduction as he's been one of the pillars of the psychedelic techno culture over the last 5 years. Founder and boss man at Techgnosis Records, Ben devotes his life to showcasing the best in genre defying soundscapes. His production style echoes the world of hypnosis whilst evoking people's urge to stomp bulk dirt. One thing evident in all of Ben's tracks is how clean his mixes are, a virtue in abundance in this particular podcast. 

With releases on the biggest labels in this sub-genre, plus festival appearances at Boom Festival, Eclipse Gathering and running one of our favourite label imprints, Ben is sculpting a legacy that will inspire generations for decades to come. We hope you enjoy being carried away on this mystical techno journey as much as our senses did.
