Here's the recording from my closing set at beats&such festival this past weekend. The set was taking over from a techhouse act and so the mix eases into psytech, peaks on the more techno side and closes off with the beautiful new remix of one of my all time favourite tracks @smilkmusic's Secret Friend by the incredibly talented @axonmusica. The crowd then asked for an encore and I obliged, but I edited out the silence and left the encore in.

Far from the land of the Seven Sands, we welcome an extremely talented producer to the SixthSense SoundCast Series.

For Sonic Jay, the music he creates is an expression of his inner self. He designs tunes to bring about that indescribable, enchanted feeling where for that period of time, nothing else matters or exists except for his sonic vibrations.

Being one of the hidden gems in the vibrant city of Melbourne, Tom has gradually earnt his stripes in the local scene through his masterfully detailed productions that leave our senses in a state of bliss.

Tom's style weaves through progressive melodic soundscapes and punchy, minimal chuggers. This dude has really been levelling up over the last 12 months, which has brought about him creating a style of techno very unique to Tom Baker.

Excited for this week's guest to be featuring on the SixthSense Australia platform. Fresh of the back of his epic album 'Invader' on Bassic Records, Samwise has decided to grace our sound-waves and treat your ears to celebrate this monumental release.

No stranger to a having a sick one on the dance-floor, our Samwise was heavily involved in the old school Melbourne hard trance scene a fair yonk ago. His fascination of music production stemmed from this as he was clearly influenced by various sub-genres of energetic dance music and the Australian festival scene. 

The last couple years has seen Sam become a source of quality techno wall-slappers as he has made a name a name for himself in our dense and vibrant Melbourne underground scene. With releases on Recovery Collective, Oxytech, Feather Print & Bassic Records he has pushed the envelope with the unique and twisted sub-genre of techno he creates and has inspired his peers around him. 

This SoundCast is an accurate representation of his deep, driving production styles. All tied in with a psychedelic twist of course ;)

This week's SoundCast guest is an artist that has provided many a tuna fish that we've rinsed out on dance floors over the last couple years. We give you - SANDOKAN. 

This "techish" project focuses more on the progressive and minimal aspects of festival techno that's influenced by the Middle Eastern desert. This cross-breed grimed out genre is what captures the hearts and souls of many Aussies across our dance floors in the bush. Releases on Digital Structures and Bassic Records have provided the platform for Sharon's Sandokan project to shine bright.
