The latest TAPAN EP "Twenty One" tells a story about the year that everyone wants to forget. 
The world in 2021 felt so alienated and distant with the pandemic, lock-downs and travel bans. The future was uncertain. 
Two original tracks are setting the scenery of smoky night clubs with the kraut guitars and dubbed out acid lines. DJ Oil delivers a fantastic bass driven remix, while MR TC is giving us 12 minutes of his signature pulsating rhythms and trancey acid. 
This EP is the last TAPAN release before their sophomore album "Novi Svet" drops on @offenmusic owned buy by none else than the one and only @vladimir this fall.

There’s a subtle undertone in Puerto Escondido. And it comes from Sommo. As the sun sets and the stars emerge in the night sky, the hypnotic melody fills the air. People gather in a dimly lit room, shedding their clothes and any inhibitions, baring their souls to the music. The melody is gentle yet insistent, gradually stripping away any layers of pretense until all that remained was sensual and raw. 

The beat quickens, pulling the dancers out of their reverie and back to the present moment. The rhythm of the music syncs with the pounding of their hearts: they are no longer lost in the astral realm, but grounded firmly in the here and now. The music is their guide - the pulse of the universe.

Saturday Delights by Hanzo Tono

PBR Streetgang are Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe. A a pair completely submerged in the world of club music their entire adult life. Their debut release was ‘Never Get Off the Boat’ in 2008 on Croatian label Red Music Records and since those early beginnings they have released on Futureboogie, Throne Of Blood, 2020Vision, Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Skint Records. Their remix work has included Kylie, Lana Del Rey, Bryan Ferry, Hot Chip and Friendly Fires and more. As DJs they have played across the globe at almost every venue and festival of credible note. Outside of the studio and the booth, their residency on Rinse FM has become one of the mainstays of the stations, hosting international guests and fresh talent each month. PBR’s label, Kurtz Records, was created by the duo as a platform for their own output and as a stage to champion some of their favourite new artists as remixers.

Fast forward 20 years … 20 f’kin years! 

To many crowds the world over PBR Streetgang are known and loved for their talents behind the turntables, but to others they are producers and remixers whose eclectic taste and evolving style has seen them enjoy longevity and much acclaim. To celebrate this milestone PBR bring us a rare selection of originals and remixes that shows the breadth and depth of their work. 

Featuring early originals that propelled them into the limelight, like ‘Downstroke’ and ‘J2Thab’, and more recently their stand-out disco tinged nugget from their debut album ‘Late Night Party Line’. Previously un-pressed remixes like the cult classic rework of Romanthony’s ‘Bring You Up’, the slow chuggy sleaze of Bryan Ferry’s ‘One Night Stand’, and the teary-eyed euphoria of their remix of Hot Chip’s ‘Melody of Love’.

This compilation represents an honest retrospective of the production and remix talents of PBR Streetgang. Always keeping true to their sound, and true to themselves.

Multi Culti co-founder Dreems goes undercover as Angelo Cruzman and joins forces with Jacoby for kaleidoscopic sonic wizardry that flows seamlessly from symphonic dream pop to ambient esoterica.

If this album had been produced by some super-advanced AI the prompt would have been: create the perfect mix of Daft Punk - Homework crossed with Brian Wilson - Pet Sounds containing shades of Moby - Play but with the complexity and scope of The Avalanches - Since I Left You, containing a few saucy licks of Nile Rogers funk, dainty fragments of French psychedelic library-kitsch, mind-expanding flourishes from the BBC radiophonic workshop, all culminating with a bell-filled percussive piano ballad outro masterpiece produced by Brian Eno and Four Tet on 180 mics of LSD after watching Sesame Street with Lee Perry.

It’s a record of fantastic imagination, full of surprises. Crack open your head, dive in and enjoy the trip!
