It will take heartfulls of kindness and mindloads of understanding and nuances of acceptance of letting go and so much more to individually evolve into more harmonic states.

Herby Records started as a bored pandemic project between Frank Herbertson (management) and Justin Jackley (graphic design) in 2020. It was originally intended as a vehicle for Justin’s artwork and as a way to help promote our many musician friends around the world by releasing/re-releasing existing albums bearing Justin’s artwork already and making new ones. We quickly decided to set a goal of releasing 100 records over 10 years and then creating and releasing a book with a physical double 10” compilation album in 2030. We are currently well beyond the halfway point in physical releases, and this digital only free compilation album commemorates that milestone.

We would like to thank the dozens of musicians that have been a part of Herby Records for the past 5 years and allowed us to release their artistry - mostly on limited edition lathe-cut records from 13 to 25 copies and 5 releases as traditionally pressed vinyl records in editions of 100 to 200. We have worked with and are currently working with lots of great artists that create music in the genres of Psychedelic, Surf, Kraut, Doom, Drone, Punk, Dungeon Synth, and Avante-garde Experimental stuff that is often pretty “out there”. The connecting factor is that it is all music that we like! Thanks to Simon Feret (Psych9 Records) for putting up with the beast of a 70-year-old Rek-O-Kut lathe-cut machine in Guatemala and personally cutting most of our records and collaborating on and co-releasing many albums with Herby Records.

Thanks to the ongoing support of It’s Psychedelic Baby Magazine for interviewing and sharing our musicians’ music and Ross Beattie (It’s Psychedelic Baby Podcast) and Salvatore Tornabene (Thee Midnight Snack) for playing our records on the airwaves.

Thank you Adam Majdecki-Janicki for being the first musician to release an album on Herby Records in 2020 under A.J. many people die every year in the Rhine because they had not calculated the invisible undertows who suck you underwater.Lightheaded they search for a cooling in the summer but find death.Often immigrants/foreign people died ,because they had not assessed the great danger. there are also lots of ships driving by because the near of Duisburg the greatest inland harbour in Germany. They suddenly make giant  waves that suck you in especially children but the same with adults. It's always the same horror in the news from year to year.although there are signs in many languages( english , arab, and many). The River knows...

J’Mar GAS - Wasn’t Good For Me (Freestyle)

I started out in the Polish cassette underground in 1998. I've been recording tapes with simple folk/punk/blues/psychedelic songs, inspired by Syd Barrett, Velvet Underground, Monster Magnet, Woody Guthrie, Sawyer Brown, and Captain Beefheart. Those are the influences I remember today. I was using a pseudonym back then, Adam Sandosa, taken from the first Amon Duul LP, "Psychedelic Underground".

I never stopped making art, so here we are in the future.
