“As you navigate the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, a sense of apprehension enters your consciousness. The shuttle is dwarfed by the mass of some of these carbon, silicate, metal-rich objects, and you imagine the violent, shattering, tearing collisions that must have occurred to render this torus-shaped region.”

Asteroid Belt is the second track in the Space album, which depicts a journey from earth, through our solar system, its elements, out of our galaxy and on to the next, with a few dramatic events and encounters along the way. The soundscape features various driving kicks and beats to mimic hurtling through space at speed, combined with cold, hard, dark, metallic percussion and synths that conjure up the harshness of the environment, and re-imagine tales of sci-fi lore.
