What Did You Do With My World?

Riding The Great Australian Plains

This classic Grateful Dead song has been a favorite of JJ's since his playing in a bar band days, decades ago. Therefore, he decided to come up with a perfect, lively skeleton on his piano for us to use for it, and shared it with us. Josh, being a Deadhead as well, jumped on the chance to play Phil's part on his four string fretless bass. Ken, who isn't necessarily a Deadhead, but can play most anything, jumped on with his driving drums around the same time as Josh added his bass line, as they went back and forth a few times before getting the rhythm section settled. 

  Stephen came along next with his cunning rhythm guitar, follow closely by his solo for the solo section. JJ added his solo for that section right after Stephen had laid his part down. Then we turned it over to James to add his rich, accent-drenched vocals. 

  When we had all the parts down, we turned it over to James to produce and mix for us, which he did in expert fashion.

  This song was a lot of fun for the Deadheads in the band and non-Deadheads alike to record. This is also the second collaboration done by James and the Eclectic Collective, and we all enjoyed having him on this project.

  We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.
